Love this film but I guess I am just not good at physics. How can an asteroid bounce off small rocks from the asteroid belt to precisely hit planet earth so far away, one city at a time, sometimes at daytime, sometimes at night time, in all kinds of different directions, 18 days ahead, meaning they're travelling at much higher speeds? But then, if we dump these asteroid scenes, you end up with Deep Impact, which is much less exciting.
One of the best movies I've seen in recent times. Perhaps because I am a Chinese and being a Chinese martial arts fan allow me to relate more to the movies.
Did not expect the story to make sense but the visual effects do impress. I think this one is Roland Emmerich's best movie after ID4. At least he maintains some kind of a climax up until the very end, unlike his previous ones.
