The Twilight Saga: New Moon - PG-13 Being totally honest, went with the sole intention of making fun of the film. However, turned out not to be nearly as bad as I thought. While much of the screenplay is quite laughable, let's face it:still not as bad as "Jennifer's Body". Lauter and Pattinson provide eye candy for the audience, which is why much of the audience went in the first place. I mean, the acting wasn't great on any particular actor's behalf but the majority of the ensemble was incredible next to the pathetic attempts made by Kristen Stewart. Most of her facial expressions are the same in every situation and her "cries" in her dreams sound more like...well you know..*coughs*. A definite step-up and surprisingly enjoyable experience compared to that of "Twilight". I might actually go see "Eclipse". November 22, 2009

Law Abiding Citizen - R WAY better than I expected. critics make it out to be a complete failure but the fairly impressive acting of Butler almost made me forget about the crap that was "the ugly truth" and remember his talent in "300". somewhere in the middle, he plays an interesting role with scarily realistic facial expressions. Outside his regular norm, I had to give this movie props. Foxx on the other hand, never really been my favorite. Always playing the same role, this time outshined by Butler. In order for this film to rock (while the audience connects), the tension between these characters need to be further emphasized to the audience. Overall, very entertaining thriller that stands out from the other sap fests and ghost flicks that seem to be the norm this season. Although some of the deaths were quite graphic for a film of this type, it was enjoyable to see the plot unfold. For fans of: "Untraceable", "The Bourne Identity", "The Italian Job", "Crank", "Saw". Michael Jackson's This Is It - PG A very touching tribute with a wonderful diverse look at the many aspects of the would-have-been concert. Incredible. I just can't get over how talented he was-it's hard to take your eyes off of him; he was truly gifted. See the film while you can- I guarantee you won't regret it! November 1, 2009

Paranormal Activity - R Have to admit, went in with LOW expectations and came out scared shitless. geez. I wasn't as freaked out as some people. but I did literally scream in the theater. Acting was iffy @ pts and SLOW beg. but def worth it for the final two "events". YIKES YIKES YIKES. good 2 finally be somewhat scared, def to be talked about for quite some time. :) October 24, 2009

Couples Retreat - PG-13 I most definetely went in with too high of expectations. But who could blame me? A seemingly perfect arrangement of cast members and interesting premise led me to believe that this might be a comedy dif from the rest. Unfortunately, this movie didn't even really turn out to be a "comedy" in the sense of "laugh-out loud" funny. In fact, it was more along the lines of dry humor that most people wouldn't dare to even chuckle at. I'll admit some of Vince Vaughn's "zingers" still got to me, but in general I was unimpressed. Def a "see only one time" kind of movie. just for the predictable ending. October 20, 2009

Zombieland - R better than I expected it to be...I went in with extremely low expectations. Actually the cast worked really well together. A fairly stupid and SHORT film but def worth seeing once just for the incredible random Ghostbusters inclusion of Bill Murray! :D October 20, 2009

The Stepfather - PG-13 better than I expected in terms of acting, but predictable (he got away) ending was pretty unrealistic. for gosh sake's the man fell off a roof!! agh. still worth seeing for the final "fight" scene. Best actor by far in the film was Dylan Walsh. (loved the opening credits/scene). Probably some of his best acting. Unfortunately, the rest of the cast didn't really seem to measure up.
