The Matrix (1999, R)
This is my favorite movie. The premise is awesome, the story, cinematography, sound, special effects, underlying themes, etc etc are unmatched. The acting, of course, is not the greatest, but everything else saves it. The sequels, while interesting, didn't come close to the awesomeness of the original. |

This is a stupid movie, but it's one of my favorites and makes me laugh every time I see it. It is definitely dated, though. And I hate to see it on regular TV when they cut out the good scenes (i.e. Brad masturbating) and redub the bad language (my favorite is "fuzzy nerd") |
