My Favorite Movies

  fb710186832's Rating My Rating
1
The Matrix (1999,  R)
The Matrix
This is my favorite movie. The premise is awesome, the story, cinematography, sound, special effects, underlying themes, etc etc are unmatched. The acting, of course, is not the greatest, but everything else saves it. The sequels, while interesting, didn't come close to the awesomeness of the original.
2
The Big Lebowski (1998,  R)
The Big Lebowski
GREAT movie! Gotta love The Dude
3
The Silence of the Lambs (1991,  R)

Perfect movie - Incredible acting by Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins. Truly scary, thrilling, and suspenseful.
4
American Beauty (1999,  R)

Great movie, unlike any other (and that's saying something). Kevin Spacey is an awesome actor
5
Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975,  PG)
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
I've loved this movie since I first saw it in Jr. High. And I'm ashamed to say that I can quote most of the scenes by heart...
6
The Terminator (1984,  R)
The Terminator
Inventive premise, the first of its kind. I still watch it when it's on TV. A classic!
7
Fast Times At Ridgemont High (1982,  R)
Fast Times At Ridgemont High
This is a stupid movie, but it's one of my favorites and makes me laugh every time I see it. It is definitely dated, though. And I hate to see it on regular TV when they cut out the good scenes (i.e. Brad masturbating) and redub the bad language (my favorite is "fuzzy nerd")
8
Waiting for Guffman (1996,  R)
Waiting for Guffman
HILARIOUS! Especially if you've ever been involved in local theater - so much of it rings true. The best Christopher Guest movie
