Let me just say that life in A-Town has been so uneventful these past 7 months that THIS movie was the only thing to look forward to. I know, pathetic huh? Well yes, I saw it at midnight, so I'm a nerd, like lots of people. Hahaha! Heath Ledger IS the reason to fear clowns, though he's also hilarious. A great final performance from an actor. This was a fas paced thrill ride that never lets up, but seems a bit anticlimactic. Visit my page at movieweb.com/slysnide for the full review.Good flick though. Realistic as hell! |

| Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - PG-13 | This film is like a vintage '50s "B" movie adventure flick! It has the best truck/jeep chase sequence that is level with the truck chase in film one. And the visuals are stunning, as this movie takes place in the lush South American jungle instead of a barren desert. Nostalgia plays into it, and the feel is overall different than the originals since this is like a '50s style film instead of a '30s style film. Fans of the series should like it Sure, there's some unbelievable elements in the plot, but all the other films had similar elements as well. There's even a tip of the hat to the Ark in the crate room. If you like Jones, then see this flick! | May 22, 2008 | N/A | |||

| A Boy and His Dog - R | Basically it's a reverse version of "THX 1138" except with a boy and a dog. The first half is great as the dog is the smart one that everyone loves, and the boy just out for women. But a satirical comedy that leaves you wanting more of the smart dog wandering the wasteland than the boy going to "down under." Still a great sci-fi flick. | May 3, 2008 | N/A | |||
| There Will Be Blood - R | A good period piece relocated to Texas instead of Socal where Upton Sinclair's phenomenal novel takes place. Fantastic acting by Daniel Day-Lewis (as always), and a great performance by Paul Dano, the reverend. However, the plot runs to thin and simple for an epic that clocks in exactly at 150 minutes, and doesn't reveal the title's meaning until the very last scene, which also contains the revelation about the whole plot of the story. The Oscar won for the cinematography was right on! Amazing camerawork! But overall, the film didn't do much for a viewer storywise. Good to see it once or twice. A film for it's vistas and acting. | April 14, 2008 | N/A | |||

| E.T. - The Extra-Terrestrial - PG | As a kid I liked it. But when last I saw it, the movie was just a kid doing some cute crap with the alien, and then having the second half be about biohazard teams trying to save the two of them, and getting ET home. Enjoyable for kids, and not a bad movie for teens who still like those sweet ending types of movies. It was more like the kid version of "Close Encounters." Great musical score though. | April 6, 2008 | N/A | |||
| Scary Movie - R | When I first saw this, it was the funniest film I'd ever seen. It spoofs all the new stuff in the right ways. A great movie to show at a party! Even better to show to horror fans (like me) who are more than familiar with the horror films they spoof. And that makes it even funnier! | April 6, 2008 | N/A | |||
| Ocean's Eleven - PG-13 | Lets put together some unknowns, and some celebrities, and lets remake an excellent heist film with advanced technology and a villain so as not to rip off the original. Snazzy, classy, and twist ending that's opposite from the original. | April 6, 2008 | N/A |
