This movie makes me wish I had a hot father I didn't know about in India, that is, only if he happens to be Mads Mikkelsen. But seriously, this is one of my favorite films of the year, full of great surprises and twists and real feeling, as well as characters you can't help but fall a little in love with. |

Half Nelson (2006, R)
This movie reminded me that I love depressed junkie-types, until I remembered that I really don't. Actually one of the better films I've seen this year, Gosling and Epps both deliver great performances; a refreshing twist on the whole "great white hope" genre. |

If you are really depressed and just need that extra bit of motivation to go ahead and slit your wrists, then just watch this film. Aside from the major depression factor, I loved this film, I guess I have a think for dark, gritty, sad film noir. |
