The Passion of the Christ The Passion of the Christ R
I've never had such an emotional experience at a movie before. It was hard to watch, but it seemed very real and from the moment the film began, I felt like I was able to be there and see it come to pass. The fact that they were speaking the original language made it more real. This wasn't just a violent picture of what one man endured, this was the story of my salvation. This was what my Savior went through because of His love for me. Because of that...the tears flowed and would not stop. Trying to hold back the tears was not an option, so I just tried not to sob so loud that it would disturb the people around me. Gibson made a spectacular film and I believe he never got the credit that he should have for making it. I also thought that Caviezel was amazing. I've always liked him anyway, but this was his best work. I'm not sure I would have even known it was him.
Hiding Place Hiding Place Unrated
I believe there hasn't been a better Christian film made by a Christian film company. The acting was first rate and the story told beautifully. I still cry after many viewings. It is also one of my favorite books and favorite characters in Christian history. I wish I could have met Corrie ten Boom in person. Just one story from the Holocaust of WW2.
