This was tough to watch since my husband served in Iraq. I remember very well the true story it's based on. The event that happened to his son serving in Iraq truly gave me a PTSD moment remembering a phone call in the middle of the night from my husband when he was there. This movie definitely makes a statement about war, violence, and the numbness we come to feel from the pain of living in a country at war. It should be seen by all. |

A great documentary. Very sad and heavy, but important. One mother's daughter is killed by a suicide bomber in a grocery store. The other mother's daughter is the suicide bomber that day. Don't expect a tidy end to this documentary just as there is no tidy end to the conflict between Israel and Palestine. |

"Independent Lens" Race to Execution (, Unrated)
One of the cases profiled in this documentary is what led me to my chosen profession. I'm quite familiar with the subject matter of this film and saw some things I thought could have been researched or explained better, but over all a very good documentary and one I would definitely recommend. |
