I don't see why the english/american/british feel they HAVE to remake ANY of the ORIGINAL Asian films...this is one of many they have ruined, yet again! >_<"

...this original is the best! I won't give the remakes the time of day if i know the original is an Asian film. You can't get any better than the original with any film, especially Asian Films/TAE etc etc...this just isn't because i adore my Asian films, well ok maybe, but i suppose it goes for the original english horrors that have been made...

anyways, class film, highly recommended for those who love their Asian films and/or those who can handle subtitles!

Asian films i believe are way more creepier and alot more jumpy than the english versions!

Slumdog Millionaire

Absolutely Incredible. Loved the build up of the film and also the flashbacks. A. R. Rahman's (of Chaiya Chaiya fame) soundtrack was fantastic.

I'm so happy it went away with 8 Oscars. I really hope Dev Patel will go places, he's such a down-to-earth lad. His acting abilities can't really be judged by this one film or his Skins episodes of which he was hardly in, great news he's taken for Shyamalan's upcoming film.

Didn't really see anything special about Frieda Pinto to be honest, then again it is her first film. Brilliant news that Woody Allen's considered her for his upcoming film too.

There is one thing about this film that winds me up a little though. A lot of people judge India on this film alone and think that India is one big slum - WRONG. Every country has a down side like the U.S.A has the Bronx, England has East London and so on. I haven't been to India myself but I would love to visit and also see all the beautiful landmarks that are there. Remember - Slumdog only highlights the slum areas of Mumbai, not the city.

Cello (Chello hongmijoo ilga salinsagan)

Great film!

As usual really creepy and jumpy, but a good story line...

the basic story line is that of a woman (Hong Mi-ju), who's married with 2 children and the story follows her life. Mi-ju is a professor in music and when she was younger she was a cellist with her best friend (Kim Tae-yeon) and because they were both really good at playing they seemed to end up being competitive with one another. one day Tae-yeon was chosen to be the main cellist in a show, the choice was between Mi-ju and Tae-yeon, so Mi-ju got jealous and they ended up in a car accident on the way home from rehearsal, Tae-yeon ended up dangling from an edge of a cliff and because of her jealously Mi-ju didn't save her and let her fall to her death.

Mi-ju took her eldest daughter, who my i add is autistic, she doesn't speak at all, well, they pass a music store and the daughter stops and stares at a cello. Mi-ju buys her the cello and they take it home. Only to find out later that this cello brings negetive things to the home. The family end up being haunted by Tae-yeon. her 'ghost' terrorises her family. her husband had no idea of what happened with Mi-ju and Tae-yeon in the past. basically towards the end of the story all her family members die, her youngest daughter, her sister-in-law and Mi-ju ends up stabbing her autistic daughter to death only because she was possessed by her dead friends ghost. then she turns on herself and stabs herself. She wakes up in the hospital and everything seems to be ok, her daughters, husband and sister-in-law walk into the hospital to see her...Mi-ju was shocked as she thought everyone was dead, but the doctor said that it could have been because of her being in a coma for so long she imagined these things.

Really good film...a must watch if you like your TAE's or any Asian film's.
