One of the, if not THE, best films ever made.
Every shot is a beautiful painting, every cut, every beat of music is perfectly placed, the special effects, to this day, are not dated and still look amazing, and it is wonderfully, philosophically, and chillingly ambiguous.

Never at any point particularly slow, Antoine Doinel's life is as poignant and real as it is exciting and heartbreaking. The movie is shot wonderfully, every cut feeling like it naturally flows into the next. The film begins, and until nearer to the end, as a light comedy, with all the sweet and eccentric things that a boy his age might do-- and also the masses of trouble he gets into, and his constant running from something-- until, at the end, he's stopped and has nowhere left to go... I gotta see the other Antoine Doinel movies... And I'm sorry if this review sucked entirely.
