Graham Little (firefish2)

An excellent tale of heroism during the dark days of world was 2. The acting may be slightly stilted at times, and the special effects not quite there, but for a film made in 1953-54 it is excellent. I would not watch a politically correct remake.

To my mind, Bogie's best. I have the original black & white version, as I feel that a lot of atmosphere was lost in the coloured film. The well known lines and a terrific song (which was a flop when it first came out, becoming a hit when ressurected for the movie) help it to flow nicely. One of my favourites.
