Brian Flynn (flynnparadox)

The story is nothing special (actors terrorized by masked killer in a locked theater) but the execution is simply amazing. Soavi is obviously a student of Argento but he has his own pace, his own style and shows it off to full effect here. The lead performance by Cupisti is good, as well.

The best film of all time. A perplexing, nightmarish, puzzle of a film that is more rewarding on each viewing. The key to the film is that it is more about domestic violence and insanity than some kind of supernatural evil. The only real "supernatural" forces in the film are the shining itself and, perhaps, Kubrick's belief in reincarnation. Anyway, I'll probably have a slightly different comment each time I watch this one. My absolute favorite.

The greatest action film of all time. "What truck?" Indiana Jones was my hero while growing up. In fact, one of my earliest memories is seeing the trailer for this film in the theater and being quite scared. What makes Raiders work is that everyone involved in making the film is commited to its success. The performances are just right and the action is just enough over-the-top to be thrilling. I love this film.
