| Evening - PG-13 |
Plot: Based on the beloved novel by Susan Minot and adapted for the screen by Ms. Minot and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Michael Cunningham (The Hours), under the direction of Lajos Koltai (Fateless), who was previously an Academy Award-nominated cinematographer. Evening is a deeply emotional film that illuminates the timeless love which binds mother and daughter - seen through the prism of one mother's life as it crests with optimism, navigates a turning point, and ebbs to its close. Two pairs of real-life mothers and daughters - Vanessa Redgrave and Natasha Richardson, and Meryl Streep and Mamie Gummer - portray, respectively, a mother and her daughter and the mother's best friend at different stages in life. Overcome by the power of memory, Ann Lord reveals a long-held secret to her concerned daughters; Constance, a content wife and mother, and Nina, a restless single woman. Both are bedside when Ann calls out for the man she loved more than any other. But who is this 'Harris,' wonder her daughters, and what is he to our mother? While Constance and Nina try to take stock of Ann's life and their own lives, their mother is tended to by a night nurse as she journeys in her mind back to a summer weekend some fifty years ago, when she was Ann Grant; a young woman who has come from New York City to be maid of honor at the high-society Newport wedding of her dearest friend from college, Lila Wittenborn. The bride-to-be is jittery, and turns to her maid of honor rather than her own mother for support. Ann stays close to her friend, yet is even closer to Lila's irrepressible brother Buddy. Unexpected feelings surge forth once Ann meets wedding guest Harris Arden, a lifelong friend and intimate of the Wittenborn family. Ann's love for Harris will change her life, and those of her daughters, forever.
Starring: Claire Danes, Eileen Atkins, Glenn Close, Hugh Dancy, Mamie Gummer, Meryl Streep, Natasha Richardson, Patrick Wilson, Toni Collette I don't know why, but this was one of the best dramas I've ever seen. I guess it's been awhile since I saw a good drama. I've read many mixed reviews of this movie and people wouldn't stop complaining about the movie NOT having a happy ending, but that's what makes 'Evening' so realistic. It captures real life and sometimes life doesn't always have a happy ending. |

| Along Came Polly - PG-13 |
Plot: Risk-averse Reuben Feffer, whose best-laid plans for life and love careen wildly off-track when his bride dumps him on their honeymoon for a muscle-bound scuba instructor. Stunned, humiliated and in the grip of acute indigestion, Reuben plans to play it safer than ever. But a chance adventure with an adventure-craving childhood friend named Polly, shoots him into a whirlwind of extreme sports, spicy foods, ferrets, salsa dancing and living in the moment.
Starring: Alec Baldwin, Ben Stiller, Bob Dishy, Bryan Brown, Cheryl Hines, Debra Messing, Hank Azaria, Jennefer Aniston, Jsu Garcia, Phillip Seymour Hoffman To be honest, I didn't like it, but I didn't hate it either so I have mixed feelings about the movie. There were only a couple funny parts in the whole movie. I still question why Ben Stiller is in this. He wasn't funny AT ALL so he was biggest disappointment in the film. I thought Phillip Seymour Hoffman was the funniest out of the whole cast. I wouldn't recoomend this movie to anyone unless they like unfunny and predictable comedies. |

| Jeepers Creepers - R |
Plot: A brother and sister driving home for spring break encounter a flesh-eating creature in the isolated countryside that is on the last day of its ritualistic eating spree.
Starring: Eileen Brennan, Gina Philips, Jonathan Breck, Justin Long, Patricia Belcher I don't know why I liked this movie so much, but I just did. It's not as bloody and gory as I thought it would be and the two main characters in the movie were the dumbest characters I've ever saw in a horror movie ever! Besides that, I don't have that much to say about it, but it's worth a watch. |

| Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith - PG-13 |
Plot: After three years of fighting in the Clone Wars, Anakin Skywalker concludes his journey towards the Dark Side of the Force, putting his friendship with Obi Wan Kenobi and his marriage at risk.
Starring: Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen, Ian McDiarmid, Samuel L. Jackson, Jimmy Smits, Frank Oz, Anthony Daniels, Christopher Lee My favorite 'Star Wars' movie so far. Unlike Episodes 1 and 2, this one was epic! Everything about it had 'epic' written all over it. It's just one of those movies where it's so good, you don't have the words to describe it. |

| My Sister's Keeper - PG-13 |
Plot: Sara and Brian live an idyllic life with their young son and daughter. But their family is rocked by sudden, heartbreaking news that forces them to make a difficult and unorthodox choice in order to save their baby girl's life. The parents' desperate decision raises both ethical and moral questions and rips away at the foundation of their relationship. Their actions ultimately set off a court case that threatens to tear the family apart, while revealing surprising truths that challenge everyone's perceptions of love and loyalty and give new meaning to the definition of healing.
Starring: Cameron Diaz, Abigail Breslin, Alec Baldwin, Joan Cusack, Jason Patric, Thomas Dekker, Sofia Vassilieva Unlike most people, I DID NOT cry when seeing this movie. I guess it's because I'm a heartless jerk (just kidding). I never cry for some reason, but I DID find it sad. It seemed like the plot changed every five minutes. While watching it, I even had to ask the people around me what was going on in the movie. It was also too sappy. The acting was pretty good, but not good enough to make the characters believable. See it only if you really want to. |

| Little Miss Sunshine - R |
Plot: The Hoover family treks from Albuquerque to the Little Miss Sunshine pageant in Redondo Beach, California, to fulfill the deepest wish of 7-year-old Olive, an ordinary little girl with big dreams. Along the way the family must deal with crushed dreams, heartbreaks, and a broken-down VW bus, leading up to the surreal Little Miss Sunshine competition itself. On their travels through this bizarre landscape, the Hoovers learn to trust and support each other along the path of life, no matter what the challenge.
Starring: Abigail Breslin, Alan Arkin, Greg Kinnear, Paul Dano, Steve Carell, Toni Collette Best comedy I've seen in a long time. It's definetly worth all the hype. It will make you laugh so hard and I really love the message of it; everybody is unique in their own special way. This should have won the 'Best Picture' award in 2007. I absolutey love the cast. I just adore Abigail Breslin and her performance was worth the Oscar nomination. I have this huge crush on Greg Kinnear (I don't know why, but I just find him sexy) and I'm such glad that he's in this. The rest of the cast was also funny. I loved the scene at the end when Olive (Abigail Breslin) dances on stage. It kind of reminded me of the dance scene from 'Napoleon Dynamite', but a little bit dirtier. I swear if you don't like this movie, then you simply don't like comedies at all (no offense to the people who did not like 'Little Miss Sunshine'. I guess I like the movie way too much LOL). MUST-SEE! |

It was smart, funny, and entertaining. There was never a dull moment in the movie. I guess I have a love for comedies about dysdunctional families. SEE-IT! |
