Iron Man (2008, PG-13)
This movie sets the new standard for comic book movies. I love everything about it. Tony Stark is a total A-hole throughout the movie, but I'd still hang out with the dude because he's a genius, lives the life everyone wants, and owns the suit...soon to be suits. It's so brilliant, funny, and edgy. Good God man, Wolverine was a total badass in Xmen, but by part 3 he was also a father-figure? What kind of mess is that? This movie had the balls to be a totally mature comic book movie that is also totally mainstream. Love it, want to see it again, can't wait for the special edition DVD!!! |
