Put it simply, this movie rocks. It just came together better than the last one. The divergences from the book are really okay by me. There's some fun humor in the story and the characters are still quite interesting. My main complaint is that they spend little to no time focusing on the titular half-blood prince. Because of that, there's almost no real feeling when the fact is finally revealed at the end.

Basically, if you liked the first one, you'll really enjoy this one. If you complain that it's too loud, or that there are too many explosions, then you really didn't pay attention to the movie you were going to watch. They are able to jump right into the action in this outing since they don't have to worry about setting up the premise.
There are a couple crude gags that I could do without, but otherwise, this movie hits all the points you can expect very nicely.

Re-visiting a chapter in Kirk's past, this movie deals with the questions of age and coming to terms with the mistakes and triumphs that are behind us, while looking forward to what lies ahead.
