Awesome Movie!! Watch it at least once a year. Great cast and the Dennis Hopper/Christopher Walken scene is classic. Gary Oldman is great and watch for Brad Pitt in a hilarious cameo as Floyd. Played the theme music for our wedding too. Don't miss this movie.

Amazing himan film. Infinitely cool with such a great cast. Jean Renos quiet, supposedly heartless hitman is well played against a very young Portman. Gary Oldman is terrifying as the psychopathic baddie. Great stuff.

Woo's greatest achievement. Awesome story. Totally captivating thanks to the 2 lead actors. Seen it 6 times and still not tired of this film.

Scorsese at his stylish best. Can't ever see Ray Liotta without thinking of this film. If ever a film deserved an Oscar in 1990.......

This should be prerequisite viewing for all film fans and wayward teens. Shocking, brutal and astounding. Just what makes a socially acceptable drug addict anyway? Unforgettable stuff. Will haunt you forever.

Brilliant. Atmospheric, tense, great performances and the finsl scene on the stairs is legendary. Connery has some incredible lines. De Niro is badass with a baseball bat.

My personal favorite of the 'Mexico Trilogy'. Full on action, an insane amount of bullets, big explosions and Banderas looking cool in slow motion. Tarantino's cameo is hilarious.

Kill Bill: Volume 1 5.0 Stars
What can I say?!? Tarantino's 'Eastern' film, is simply the best aof the 2 and one of the great returns of swordplay into mordern cinema. A great story is exceptionally well set up and the sound and visuals will stay with you foreverer. Infinitely cool, thanks to an awesome performance from Uma Thurman. Sooooo many references to some great, old martial arts films (check out the yellow jumpsuit!!!), The showdown is amazing and totally unrivalled as far as modern fight scenes go. Worthy of multiple viewings, and let's not forget about a vehicle named "The pussy wagon". Only Tarantino could pull that off. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. See it!!

Great fun. Quirky Tarantino rip-off. Bellows and Zellweger are excellent and the dialogue is good for a laugh.

Tarantinos debut is a classic that has been copied multiple times, but never equalled. "You gonna bark all day little doggy? Or are you gonna bite." Need I say more.

Mysterious Skin 4.5 Stars
Pretty damn stunning. Joseph Gordon-Levitt's performance is amazing, the story is convoluted, yet in Arakis hands the whole thing is fascinating. The 2 main storylines are equally fascinating, but if graphic sexual violence turns you away, leave it alone. Mysterious Skin is interesting and provocative.

Brilliant Korean cinema with a one-shot in a hallway involving a hammer, that will blow your mind. Vastly overlooked. Destined to be copied in the same way Reservoir Dogs was, for years to come.

Psychidelic Stone. Great performance from Woody Harrelson and fascinating when you consider the tale of his real-life father. Don't watch this if you suffer from epilepsy or a weak stomach, but haters of the media will love it!!

The Straight Story (1999,  G)
The Straight Story 5.0 Stars
Firstly forget that this is a David Lynch film. It's nothing like his other work. This the heartwarming, interesting, funny and thoughtful true story of Alvin Straight, who rode cross country on a lawnmower to visit his sick brother. Cried more than once and laughed just as much. Very much like 'The World's Fastest Indian', but with Lynch's wit. Truly something special and engrossing. Incidentally Richard Farnsworth (Alvin Straight), shot himself after being diagnosed with cancer shortly after its release. Unforgettable stuff.
