  Goldfish81's Rating My Rating
1
Flatliners (1990,  R)
Flatliners
I always found the idea interesting. Plenty of edge of the seat moments. Also Oliver Platt is hysterical.
2
Grease (1978,  PG)
Grease
John Travolta is so hot in this!!! I love the music, the dancing, and the love story. The original High School Musical I would say.
3
The Usual Suspects (1995,  R)
The Usual Suspects
I would have to say this is one of the most brilliant movies ever made. The ending is classic and makes you want to watch the movie all over again right away just to see if it could be true. Kevin Spacey is extraordinary.
4
A Time to Kill (1996,  R)
A Time to Kill
Very close to the book which is also great. The acting is spectacular. A sad story but also optimistic. Fantastic!
5
Office Space (1999,  R)
Office Space
I love this movie!! If you have ever worked for a restaurant or in any typical office setting you should like this movie. It is hilarious. I was working for T.G.I. Fridays when it came out and then shortly after was working in a customer service call center. I can completely relate to not having enough pieces of flare and having a case of the Mondays.
6
Big Fish (2003,  PG-13)
Big Fish
Not a very typical Tim Burton movie. Very beautiful to watch. Well with the exception of a little Danny DeVito butt. Plus it made me cry like a baby which I am always all for.
7
Mallrats (1995,  R)
Mallrats
Jason Lee is so great in this movie. It is very funny. I think it is my favorite of all Kevin Smith's films.
8
Bridget Jones's Diary (2001,  R)
Bridget Jones's Diary
This is an awesome movie. The sequel not so much. Renee is perfect as Bridget. Hugh Grant is swarmy as always. It is a very enjoyable film.
9
Pretty in Pink (1986,  PG-13)
Pretty in Pink
Oh my god! I was soooo in love with Duckie in this movie. I dont know what Andie saw in Blaine anyways. I mean aside from the money and the boyish charm. This is a must see for any 80's teen movie lover.
10
The Princess Bride (1987,  PG)
The Princess Bride
This is a classic and everyone should see it. I could watch it a million times (and have) and it would still be just as great as the first time. Wonderful.
11
Elf (2003,  PG)
Elf
This is my favorite holiday movie. Will Ferrell is great. Zooey Deschanel is awesome. It is funny and suitable for the whole family.
12
Girl, Interrupted (1999,  R)
Girl, Interrupted
This is a great movie. Makes my life not seem quite so crazy. I love Angelina Jolie, but this is one of the few movies she is in that was actually good.
13
Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005,  PG-13)
Mr. & Mrs. Smith
Ok so I admit it. I love this movie purely for the hotness between Jolie and Pitt. It is mildly funny. The action scenes are decent. But I have never seen such blazing chemistry between two such beautiful people before. It is bordering on sexy overload though. :)
14
Hello Again (1987,  PG)
Hello Again
This is a cute funny movie from the 80's. Although Shelly Long is not a spectacular actress, this part suits her well. It is definetely worth checking out.
15
While You Were Sleeping (1995,  PG)
While You Were Sleeping
Bill Pullman couldn't be cuter. Sandra is great as always. Nice romantic comedy that I think even some of the guys might find entertaining.
16
Fargo (1996,  R)
Fargo
My favorite Coen brothers movie. Love the Minnesota accents. Steve Buscemi is also great.
17
Chaplin (1992,  PG-13)
Chaplin
Brilliant
18
Dogma (1999,  R)
Dogma
If you are Catholic you might be offended. I am not so I wasn't. It is a good comedy.
19
Broken Arrow (1996,  R)
Broken Arrow
John Travolta is just so deliciously evil in this one. Nice popcorn action flick.
20
Look Who's Talking (1989,  PG-13)
Look Who's Talking
Cheesy I know. I love Travolta and Alley in this movie though. The sequels were nothing to brag about, but I think they had something unique with this first one.
21
Dazed and Confused (1993,  R)
Dazed and Confused
Great music! It's funny to see some people (McConaughey, Posey, and Jovovich, etc.) that are now bigger stars, act silly.
22
The Santa Clause (1994,  PG)
The Santa Clause
This is a great family film. Tim Allen is hilarious. I especially like Judge Reinhold and his weanie whistle though.
23
Labyrinth (1986,  PG)
Labyrinth
Love David Bowie in this movie!
24
Old School (2003,  R)
Old School
Hilarious. Will Ferrel is a comedic genius.
25
The Iron Giant (1999,  PG)
The Iron Giant
I love the animation and the characters. The little boy is adorable. Vin Diesels finest work to date I would say. lol
It is good even after watching it several times.
26
Blade (1998,  R)
Blade
One of the best vampire movies. Wesley Snipes is just the right balance of good and bad. I also like the idea of daywalkers. It added an interesting spin on the existing genre.
27
The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975,  R)
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Love Tim Curry in this movie!
28
Say Anything... (1989,  PG-13)
Say Anything...
Who doesn't love Lloyd Dobler? This is an essential 80's movie. Fantastic!
29
What About Bob? (1991,  PG)
What About Bob?
Bill Murray is so great! I must watch this movie everytime it is on. It is one of the few comedies that I feel holds up under repeat viewings.
30
The Breakfast Club (1985,  R)
The Breakfast Club
Great teenage angst movie. Cast is wonderful. Dialogue is entertaining and engrossing. I love it!
31
Gone Baby Gone (2007,  R)
Gone Baby Gone
This is a great movie. Ben Affleck is actually a very unique and talented director in my opinion. It was terrific and I could not recommend it more. The cast is great. I didn't recognize Ed Harris at first. He reminded me of Viggo Mortensen with all that facial hair. It is a little rough in spots and the language is constant. I also think it makes Boston look kind of scary. No offense to any people from Boston. I realize it is just a movie. :) Heart-wrenching.
32
The Prestige (2006,  PG-13)
The Prestige
This movie had me guessing until the very end. It was spectacular. Christian Bale is yummy.
33
Iron Man (2008,  PG-13)
Iron Man
Super entertaining. The visuals are great. Robert Downey Jr. is terrific. I am glad to see him looking so healthy. Not to mention hot. :) I thought all of the actors did a nice job. The ending press conference scene was great and got me so excited for a sequel. Fantastic.
34
Red (2008,  R)
Red
I thought this movie was really well done. Brian Cox is absolutely amazing! The story is sad throughout, but well worth the tears. I highly recommend this one.
35
Overboard (1987,  PG)
36
Dick (1999,  PG-13)
Dick
I really like this movie and watch it whenever I see it on cable. I am not a big fan of either actress but they pull off the blonde but not as dumb as they act routine very well. A lot of familiar faces in the cast which is always a nice surprise. The writing is clever and funny. Love the ending. Girl Power! lol
37
The Hangover (2009,  R)
The Hangover
Now this movie was terrific. It was hilarious and well made. The music was awesome. The acting and comic timing were perfection. Zach Galifianakis is one of the funniest people I have ever had the joy of seeing on screen. I still think I laughed more at Old School because of Will Ferrell, but this is a close second in the laughs department. I cannot wait until it comes out on DVD so I can watch it again. This is what a comedy is supposed to be, outrageously funny.

P.S. Guess what? Saw it for the second time in the theatre and boom! now it is 5 stars. Still so funny, original, shot beautifully. A MUST SEE PEOPLE!!!!
