David Lynch's best film in my opinion. Highly emotional masterpiece, with Sheryl Lee giving a truly outstanding performance, & required no sentimentality or manipulation on Lynch's part to get the emotions from the viewer. Ray Wise was also brilliant as Leland Palmer, & its unfortunate that their performances aren't appreciated enough. The film isn't like the series, & that is the point. The quirky humour from the show would have been too inppropriate for the film, & the characters from the series who had their scenes cut from the film weren't necessary to Laura's last week. Definitely a true masterpiece with outstanding visuals, performances & storytelling.

One of my favourite films since I was a kid. Didnt find it scary, but its always good fun to watch. I love the cinematography also. One of Spielberg's best films.
