Rolling stone and many others gave such trash reviews for this movie yet it was pretty good in my opinion. Maybe it helps that I'm an Adam Sandler fan? It was very funny. Great movie for kids and adults alike.
Low budget film with less than expert acting abilities but still a good see. Not so much for the gore and violence but for the suspense and overall play out of the film.
I adore the vampiric myth far too much for this movie to not irritate me. Taking small liberties is fine but to distort the legends so that they fill the creators need of twisting a story line that can be worked with should be criminal!! Shame on anyone comparing this crap in any light to Anne Rice's masterpieces.
I enjoyed this movie very much. I always enjoy a good movie filled with religious zealots gone wacko. The ending could have gone anywhere but where it did.
I've found none of these films to be anymore shocking than the average horror film released today. Decent watch here, it's a little slow but I like the mixture of the almost normal guy and the wacked out family.
Oh, DrBlood, how you tortured me! (it was his recommendation). Another not so fine comedic attempt at horror. I guess for the time frame it was rather racy with it's lesbianism undertones. Nothing scary or suspenseful about it. I completed watching it just to make fun of it. The ending was freaking hilarious, I was waiting for a plane to make a nose dive out of the sky as an added touch to the countess being thrown from the vehicle, staked upon a small tree, then being set on fire by the explosion of the car. Man, I laughed.
