I like reading almost everything: novels, essays, comics, technical manuals, newspapers, magazines.
I'm currently one of Free Software Magazine's souls. I'm married, so I'm not looking for dating or similar. Friendship is more than welcome. Please, be kind: I don't want, nor will send, any request of adding someone on MSN or Yahoo. I don't have such accounts, and I chat only here. I'll block everybody asking me that in their first post to me. Thank you |

Army of Darkness

Pure entertainment. I enjoyed it very much, much more than Evil dead I and II. If you like Ray Harryhausen or Tex Avery you can't miss it. I swear.
The Lives of Others (Das Leben der Anderen)
R
It's the best movie I've seen recently, and even not too recently. It faithfully depicts how was life in the former DDR, how it was easy to get fired from anyway, and even from life.
The STASI controlled everything and everybody, but in this movie stands the old Roman motto "who controls the controller"? Even at the secret police someone had a soul: he's in that movie. I wish it was even longer than it actually is.
Lust, Caution (Se jie)
R
The movie is magnificent, in my opinion. Maybe a little fake the way Ang Lee portrays poverty. Anyway, I liked everything of the movie: the rhythm, the story, the characters. It isn't long at all, despite being more than 150 minutes.
Even the sex shots are so elegant, and Weng Tai is a beautiful woman. How could her character be so extremely good-looking?
Anyway, very nice movie, and very awful feelings all over it, due to the usual interracial hate.
Alligator
R
An urban legend made into movie.
It's a wonderful b-movie, with very well focused and over-focused characters.
It's ironic, and with poor but nice effects :) Just over-crowded of "big exloooosions": it reminds me the self-wanted producer in Ed Wood.
I liked Forster here: maybe Tarantino viewed again this movie before casting for Jackie Brown.
American Crime
Unrated
Apart from Annabella Sciorra, I didn't like it. Oh, no, even Cary Elwes portrayed a good and effective character. Unfortunately the movie is rather confused, and couldn't manage to be as sharp and clear as Cannibal Holocaust, the movie that "inspired" The Blair Witch Project...
Frank and Jesse
R
In my opinion it's a somehow good movie, but nothing to let me yell at miracle. Good point of view about James brothers, some good action, maybe a little bit fake...
For the brevity's sake it misses some joining shots: i.e., how did they get to Minnesota?

Nice portrait of that considered the worst director all over the world. Great technique and fantastic cast. The b/w shooting helped the magic. Be_v_are... pull the string.

Anima Mundi (The Soul of the World)
Unrated
Godfrey Reggio, along with Philip Glass, catches all of your senses. This short movie will unveil you some more or less hidden aspects of the filmed animals, and so the soul of the world.
