An American Crime

A pretty disturbing film about two young sisters and the abuse they suffered under thier caretaker. Some scenes were a little hard to watch. Throughout the film, I felt impending dread for what was going to happen to the sisters, espcially the oldest, played by Ellen Page. While at times I felt the scenes were gratuitous, once I reflected on it, those upsetting scenes made an even more intense and powerful film. It is worth a watch, but be warned, it not easy to get through.
