The Air I Breathe The Air I Breathe R
A directorial debut by an American-Korean filmmaker. Good cast and stellar performances by all characters. The story isnt hard to follow but I think most of the concept was lost with how the film was directed, still... I liked it, the films got a different taste to it.

Director: Jieho Lee
Genres: Crime, Drama, Romance, Thriller
Recommendation: Good for a rental.

[P.S. Yes, I know I havent been reviewing movies all that well lately, just have too much on my plate to compose anything decent these days.]
Blown Away Blown Away R
Not bad at all. The soundtrack was filled with U2 songs and it was quite fun to watch someone in the cast sing and 'dance' to it.

Tommy Lee Jones plays the role of the mad Irish bomber who just got out of prison and has decided to target members of the Boston Police bomb squad, it just so happens that Jeff Bridges is about to retire from the bomb squad and settle down. Forest Whitaker plays the fresh, cocky sob in the bomb disarmament unit.

An ok action flick riddled with just enough rubes, clues and explosions. Superb acting from Tommy Lee and Jeff Bridges.

Everyone loves a hero. But who is it gonna be? ;)

"We have only one thing to give up. Our dominion. We don't own the world. We're not kings yet. Not gods. Can we give that up? Too precious, all that control? Too tempting, being a god?"

Dr Ethan Powell (played by Anthony Hopkins) is a very bright anthropologist who went missing in the jungles of Africa, he was recently found but has gone vicious and temporarily insane. Now he faces a death sentence for several murders, and is being called "Ape Man" by the inmates.

I think this is a once in a lifetime pairing, having Anthony Hopkins and Cuba Gooding Jr playing major roles in the same film, Donald Sutherland was just an added treat really. Extremely superb solid acting, the story and dialogues has something deep to offer its viewers, and for me thats always something that Im more than happy to watch and listen to every now and then.

Inspired by the novel "Ishmael", by Daniel Quinn.

Rewatchability: 3 1/2 out of 5
