1
Love & Sex (2000,  R)
Love & Sex
The most honest look at relationships I've ever seen. It's both heart breaking and heart warming, showing character flaws in all the people involved, and the honest way people react to love issues. Brutally honest, and fabulous for it.
2
Jersey Girl (2004,  PG-13)
Jersey Girl
One of Kevin Smith's best pieces of work. All the characters involved are flawed or have their quirks, and it manages to show the unusual in movies father-daughter relationship without becoming sickly-sweet or sappy. Comedy and drama roled into one.
3
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006,  PG-13)
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
If I had to pick a flaw it's that Keira gets to snog Johnny. JEALOUS.
4
The Silence of the Lambs (1991,  R)
The Silence of the Lambs
An absolute classic... and why is Hannibal Lector sexy? Surely that's not right...

Either way, it's a fabulous movie, with a fabulous cast. Quite possibly the best horror movie made, sharp, clever and well acted.
5
American Beauty (1999,  R)
American Beauty
Even if you don't like the style or plot of this movie, you have to appreciate it for it's artistic qualities and the acting. However, I do like both the style AND the plot and therefore I love the movie. It has a fantastic script with well delivered lines and is both funny and painful at the same time. Plus you get to see Kevin Spacey jerking off in the shower, now that's entertainment!
6
Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986,  PG)
Ferris Bueller's Day Off

7
The Faculty (1998,  R)
The Faculty
Cheesy? Yes. Original? No. But I still love it. I know, I know, you will role your eyes and groan (especially you Chris) but it's fabulous. It's fun and scary and funny and all things teenybop horror movies should be. I will watch this over and over and love it each time.
8
Sleepers (1996,  R)
Sleepers
This is hard to watch at times, and certainly brings out feelings and thoughts that you don't want to have, but the story is very good and the acting is wonderful, and definately an excellent movie. Very good and stellar cast. Kevin Bacon is even creepier and more evil looking than normal!!
9
Labyrinth (1986,  PG)
Labyrinth
David Bowie in tight trousers and a bunch of muppets. Come on!!! How can this be anything but good?! Fantastic soundtrack and very funny, with some wonderfully weird concepts and lovable and entertaining characters.
10
Dirty Dancing (1987,  PG-13)
