Not an Adam Sandler fan, but I will not look at him the same way after seeing this film. He and Cheadle "Reign" supreme. Thumbs up!

Somewhat slow and talky beginning offset by great effects and a terrific performance by Robert Downey, Jr.

I have to give it a good score even with the super disturbing subject matter because it has really good performances from the young actors. I saw Justin on Jay Leno promoting this flick when it came out... he was sure to touch on the topic of young people in the drug world--they are dangerous and stupid. The film also shows how several of these kids' parents had raised them into this disgusting way of life--even encouraging criminal behavior.

I'm not keen on the F-bomb being thrown around every 3 seconds, but you know this is just how these kids really were. It's a well-written & well-made true story and as horrifying as anything you could imagine. It made me sad and angry at the same time--so many people were to blame and NO ONE stood up for what they knew was right (although Frankie & Keith almost did)...

I recommend it to everyone because it's a really powerful film--and absolutely heartbreaking. It'll stay with you for a long time.
Some of you have this marked as "not interested"... but it wasn't something I would normally watch and I ended up being truly affected by it. Please rent it!

Without telling much about this movie.

There are a few emotions I felt while watching this: Important, Influential, Potent, Vigorous, Dynamical, Consequential, which all derive from the word Powerful.

I have many races flowing through my blood which I'm very proud of but this movie touched me in many ways..

I'm blessed and very amazed that I was not born under the Jim Crow laws as which my dad, grandma, and many family memebers who are African American were. That was only 38 years ago.

To all the religions, races, and genders, I thank you for fighting and still fighting which is sad for equal rights for all humans.

Words are beyond powerful. They reflect knowledge, pride, loyality, love, and repect.

I hope all watch this historical movie with family, friends, or alone. This will touch all humans and all can relate to the injustices we have and are still enduring.

Ever since i saw the trailer i had a feeling this would be quite a surprise but never expected it to be as good as it ended up being.

I can safely say this is the best I have seen Colin Farrell do in his acting career. The movie is a very dark black comedy with a lot mixed in it as well to keep you entertained *in fucking Bruges* as they keep saying, for the long run.

I thought all the cast members done fantastically well and each character and actor/actress was casted perfectly for their role.

Not only is the movie funny and dark but in some parts it's very emotional and touchy as well, Farrell really shows great emotions here and brilliant timing with the comedy.

This is probably in my favourites of the year list so far. A must see.
You must see this, seriously in the top 3 or 5 best movies of the year so far easily.

One of the first Italian detective movies ever made. Political thriller but also psychological and surreal drama, it's probably the best in its genre. In a grotesque way, director and writer Elio Petri perfectly portrays the political and social contest in 70's Italy, period of violent civil demonstrations and heavy repression by authorities.
At the centre of the movie is a gorgeous Gian Maria Volonté, who plays the f*ckest fascistoid and schizoid policeman ever seen on a screen. His omnipotence delirium is such that, after having committed a crime, intentionally leaves clues everywhere just to prove he's an untouchable citizen above suspicion. Volonté in his most intense and charismatic role!
The film is also remarkable for the original screenplay by Petri with Ugo Pirro and the amazing score by Ennio Morricone.
… when Italian Cinema was still alive.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
    4.0 Stars by Chuck
Much better than I expected it to be...actually enjoyed it more than the first one! In this one, the kids are summoned back to Narnia - inadvertantly - and discover 1300 years have passed since their last visit and reign as kings and queens of the land. Now Narnia has been decimated by war and the citizens of the land are believed to be extinct. Prince Caspian finds himself on the run from his uncle, who believes his newborn son is the rightful heir to Caspian's throne. When he comes across some real, live Narnians and the legendary rulers of the land, he joins forces with them to overthrow his tryannical uncle and restore the land to its rightful residents. PRINCE CASPIAN is a bit darker in tone than the first film, and is also more violent. I certainly wouldn't recommend taking small children to this one. The talking animals are kept to a minimum, and don't expect to see much of Aslan either (even though he his featured prominently on the poster). Also MIA but for one small but terrific scene is Tilda Swinton's White Witch. The film is full og terrific performances and the film benefits greatly from a largely unknown cast. If a "star" had played Caspian, you would have been too distracted by the actor and not be invested in the character's fate. The special effects are truly spectacular with the blending of live action and animal characters, and the battlefield scenes - while overly familiar by this time - still pack a wallop (though the castle siege is pretty amazing and emotionally upsetting). A very, very good follow-up to THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE. Not as cutesy, more depth, more action, more emotion and really light on the religious overtones.
Hey, you should really see this, especially if you liked THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE.
