WALL-E WALL-E G 5.0 Stars
Where does one begin when writing a review about a film like WALL-E? I suppose one should start at the beginning. WALL-E distances itself from all other computer animated films in the first 20-30 minutes. In this time there is no dialogue. Only the incomparable sound design of Ben Burtt and the fantastic score of Thomas Newman. Both of these elements help a small computer animated robot display more character development in 97 mins. than Ashton Kutcher has displayed in his career. Combine this with great animation, phenomenal cinematography, and a superbly crafted script/story, and that makes WALL-E my pick for Best Pixar Film, Best Film of 08, 5th Greatest Animated Film, and 77th Greatest Film Ever Made.

This would have gotten the full five if writers Steve Koren and Mark O'Keefe hadn't wussed out with the happy ending. It should have ended when he died.
