Vampires meets "The Crying Game" ... I finally got to see this movie after many attempts. The movie fails to be straight forward even though it reveals a lot. It comes off as simple story of two kids in which one may be a vampire, but there are layers of significance and dilemma that don't show up on the surface. Amazing cinematography and directing. I love that they didn't rely on cheap scare tactics or large amounts of gore, there was a lot of silence in the movie. Even the final duel was silent. |
