| I lunghi capelli della morte (The Long Hair of Death) - Unrated | August 9, 2009 | N/A | ||||
| The Hunger - R | Highly original movie, though a bit heavy on the style over substance. Also: A lot of scenes are not longer as hip as the director intended, but embarrassingly naff reminders of the decade that was really abandoned by the style police. | February 10, 2008 | N/A | |||
| The Toolbox Murders - R | February 5, 2008 | N/A | ||||
| An Inconvenient Truth - PG | When I finally came around to watching this documentary I expected to see myself either agreeing or disagreeing with its premise or at least to be able to understand the climate change thematic a bit more. What I didn't know was how little this movie really has to do with climate change, and how much instead with Al Gore who is dominating the entire picture. This is one hell of a self serving film that could have done with way more about the issue and way less about the politician. | February 2, 2008 | N/A | |||
| The Prestige - PG-13 | I meant to give it four stars initially, but then deducted half a star as this film is too clever for its own good: The final couple of twists were not all that surprising and retrospectively not a lot actually makes sense. | January 17, 2008 | N/A | |||
| La Morte viene dallo spazio (The Day the Sky Exploded)(Death from Outer Space) - Unrated | More stock footage than anything else. According to Tim Lucas this is officially Mario Bava's first job as primary director with Paolo Heusch having little to do with it. | January 16, 2008 | N/A | |||
| Alfie - PG | January 16, 2008 | N/A | ||||
| Man-Thing - R | January 16, 2008 | N/A | ||||
| Hercules Unchained - Unrated | January 16, 2008 | N/A | ||||
| Swingers - R | January 16, 2008 | N/A | ||||
| Four Flies on Grey Velvet (4 mosche di velluto grigio) - PG | This is one of Argento's best thrillers. Unfortunately it is also one of his rarest and it's begging to get a proper release. The gay detective who had never solved a case in his career is one of his best characters ever. Though not quite as flashy as some of his later works, you can easily tell what was in store for the likes of DEEP RED, TENEBRE or SUSPIRIA. | January 16, 2008 | N/A | |||
| Force of One - PG | I remembered this movie fondly, but must admit that it didn't really stand the test of time all that well. Great fight scenes, the rest is done quite amateurishly. | January 16, 2008 | N/A | |||
| Araburu tamashii-tachi (Agitator) (The Outlaw Souls) - Unrated | Confusing and overlong Yakuza thriller that will probably become clearer on a second or thirds viewing, but due to lack of stand out scenes doesn't really encourage repeated visits. | January 16, 2008 | N/A | |||
| Rambo III - R |
This is hilarious. Looks like a lot of trouble could have been prevented if the current heads of State had watched that film and listened to Crenna's words when interrogated by the Russians in Afghanistan, a place that allegedly most people can't even find on a map. LOL For some reason that film had eluded me for ages, but prior to #4 coming out, I just had to have seen it. Stupid dumb and highly entertaining 1980s action fun. |

| Dead Reckoning - Unrated | January 6, 2008 | N/A | ||||
| Missing in Action - R | January 5, 2008 | N/A | ||||
| 10 Rillington Place - PG | January 5, 2008 | N/A | ||||
| Red Dawn - PG-13 |
THE BREAKFAST CLUB does INVASION U.S.A. with a bunch of 1980s teen idols single handedly taking on an invading army of Russians and Cubans. When that film first came out I remember being up in my liberal arms about its dangerous gung ho attitude, now after more than two decades I am enjoying it as the stupid little action movie this is. |

| Hercules - Unrated | Classic sword and sandal epic that saved the Italian film industry, created an entire genre, made a star out of an otherwise less known bodybuilder and pushed Mario Bava's career closer to the directorial chair. Bava, the director of photography, was arguably as important as the actual director, Pietro Francisi, for the success of the movie and of its often stunning key sequences. | January 5, 2008 | N/A | |||
| Cecil B. Demented - R | When did John Waters' movies become so shitty? True, there are some amusing moments in this one, but overall this is a highly embarrassing, badly acted and pompously written pseudo-radical piece of bull. | December 28, 2007 | N/A | |||
| Invasion U.S.A. - PG | Self indulgent trash? Yep! But self-indulgent trash featuring Chuck Norris, so this is balls to the walls nonsense action and a lorra lorra fun if you manage to de-activate your brain for the duration of the flick. | December 28, 2007 | N/A | |||
| Batman Forever - PG-13 | December 18, 2007 | N/A | ||||
| Tenacious D in: The Pick of Destiny - R | December 18, 2007 | N/A | ||||
| Rabid Dogs (Cani arrabbiati) (Kidnapped) ( A Man and a Boy) - Unrated | December 18, 2007 | N/A | ||||
| Silent Hill - R | December 18, 2007 | N/A |
