The Princess Bride (1987,  PG)
The Princess Bride 5.0 Stars
My number one favorite movie of all time. Cary Elwes is brilliant, as are all the other actors, such as Andre the Giant. Every actor's role was perfect for them. In my opinion, the best movie derived from a book ever. One of the all time best movies ever made.

Wanted (2008,  R)
Wanted 5.0 Stars
This is my new favorite movie. I never thought I would ever find another movie that I like more than Halloween, but this one takes the cake. All the acting is phenomenal, and the twists are well incorporated into the film. The non-realistic, over the top action is amazing and Angelina Jolie is still really hot. One of the best movies of the summer.

Halloween (2007) (2007,  R)
Halloween (2007) 5.0 Stars
Rob Zombie is nothing short of amazing in making this film. The best part for me was not all the blood and gore, ironically, but the whole backstory. You really get to see why Michael Myers turned out the way he did, and to be perfectly honest, I would be just as demented, angry, and want to kill people if I had gone through what he did. All the acting and directing are top notch. A must see for every horror movie fan and Halloween fan.

The Number 23 (2007,  R)
The Number 23 5.0 Stars
A very mysterious and, at times, creepy film. Jim Carrey strays from his usual funny self, but he is still awesome. What is more creepy than the movie, is the number itself. After a few calculations, I found that "23" is embeded in every day life. One license plates, street signs, even in my own birthday. Everyone should give this one a chance.

Juno (2007,  PG-13)
Juno 5.0 Stars
A great movie. It was so simple, yet I found myself laughing through most of the movie. It was amazing. Ellen Page and Michael Cera make a great duo, and the cameo by Rainn Wilson was great. This is just a movie with tons of great one-liners that everyone needs to see. You will not be disappointed.

Brick (2006,  R)
Brick 5.0 Stars
A very, very deep and developed film. A movie that if you don't pay attention to, you will miss something that had a lot to do with the plot. A movie that every fan of great film making should see. Oh, possibly the best performance by Joseph Gordon-Levitt in his career. A very underrated movie.

Redbelt (2008,  R)
Redbelt 5.0 Stars
After watching this, it is very clear to me why they chose Chiwetel as the main character. His acting pretty much blows everyone out of the water. I just can't get over what a great actor he is. I've seen him in other things, but nothing was quite as impressing as his role in this. So basically the whole story is centered around the basic idea of Jiu Jitsu, and that is when everything has you down to the point of your own destruction, you are able to reverse all effects upon your opponent. That is what the entire movie is about. David Mamet does a fantastic job with the story and directing. Simply said, this is a masterpiece in my eyes. There are a few things that went unexplained, but other than that everything was near perfect.

Donnie Darko (2001,  R)
Donnie Darko 5.0 Stars
A very deep film. Kind of creepy, but also very touching in its own way. A very mysterious film. I had to watch it over again right after I watched it the first time. Jake Gyllenhaal is astounding in this one. The epitome of a cult classic. A must see for anyone. A great film. I can't say enough about it. It is just amazing.

Underworld (2003,  R)
Underworld 5.0 Stars
Positively my favorite vampyr movie. It has the feel of a typical monster movie, but I just think that it does it so well, it doesn't really matter. And it only helps that Kate Beckinsale is uber sexy as a vampyr. She just pulls it off perfectly. Kudos to Len Wiseman for making a great film.

The Dark Knight (2008,  PG-13)
The Dark Knight 5.0 Stars
This movie was completely spectacular. I believe that Heath Ledger's performance, R.I.P., was one of the best performances ever in cinematic history. I mean to aspire to be such a great actor as to become as much of the Joker as possible is incredible. He was the Joker. Honestly, for the first half hour of the movie, before his face paint started to come off, I completely forgot it was Heath Ledger playing the role. That is how much he became the character. Oh, and there's always the favorite part, "I'm going to make this pencil disappear." OMG! That was utterly awesome! But I will say one thing, and its the only knock I had against this film, which was also the problem with the last one, Christian Bale completely changes vocal cords when he puts on the Batman suit. I can't stand that. He is a great actor, but he definitely could have done better with that. But this was possibly the best movie I've seen all year. Surely a masterpiece. Heath Ledger will go down in cinematic history for his great performance in this film. Although Michael Caine could have been used more, but I'll get over it.

So much funnier than the first one. The funniest movie I have ever seen. And one of the greatest. If you liked the first Rold & Mar, you're sure to laugh your ass off twice as much.

Cloverfield (2008,  PG-13)
Cloverfield 5.0 Stars
J.J. Abrams has done a spectacular job with this one. He explains that he actually went to Japan with his son, and while there, he saw all these Godzilla toys and movies. He thought that we needed our own monster. He was right. A truly epic masterpiece. We can only hope that there will be a sequel of some kind. But if you have not seen this yet, but are planning on it, you must start off by thinking that this is not a motion picture. It is, in fact a fictional documentary. You are not going to be filled in on everything, if anything. We, as an audience, are basically taking a look at what happened to these people during this event. We don't find out what happens to anyone else, just this group of people. Just keep that in mind. I think that some people thought it was stupid because they didn't find out anything. What I just said explains that.

28 Weeks Later... (2007,  R)
28 Weeks Later... 5.0 Stars
A true masterpiece beyond what the first installment did. This is one of the few films that actually had me jumping because the tension was overwhelming. There is a huge twist at the end that I probably shouldn't spoil, but what the hell. At the end, when everyone gets away via helicopter, there are obviously still tons of infected people still roaming. Well all of these infected people, who are running through a sort of sewage tunnel come out of the other side. The twist is that in plain view is the Eiffel Tower. This opens the door for a great sequel, if they do it right. The infection has now spread out of the quarantined island of England and is now in France. DUN DUN DUN DUN!!! Can't wait to see if they make a sequel to this one.

Domino (2005,  R)
Domino 4.5 Stars
Surprisingly, one of the best movies I've seen this year. Obviously it came out a couple of years ago, but I just watched it last night. Keira Knightley is strangely sexy and is very fit for the role. Honestly, I had no idea this was "sort of" based on a true story. I had no idea that there was a real Domino Harvey. The reason is because, well, who would name their kid Domino, first of all. But in all seriousness, this is a great movie. It is sort of reminiscent of 21. You know that movie about poker. Well there is no card playing in this one, but I mean the fact that Domino is telling her story throughout the entire film. This is all just a flash back. And if you've seen 21 then you know what I mean. But there is just something about Keira Knightley punching people in the face that is just plain sexy. I don't know why. Just an opinion. But I would highly recommend this. A great film.
