Brüno (Bruno)

Outrageous.
Oh dear god, what a mess.
Bruno is exhibitionist material, voyeuristic and gratuitous.

This style of comedy is what makes Sacha Baron Cohen both an icon and a out cast. Yet his mainstream appeal is ever growing.

Always extreme and controversial, Cohen as Bruno pushes the absolute limits of human tolerance and boldly crosses the line of decency again and again,with no restraint or remorse.
he is relentless in his behavior., which is purposely offensive and overtly sexual.

The jewel of his comedy is in the genuine reactions he produces from real life people unscripted and totaly unprepared.

He makes fun of societies preconceptions and flawed values of what they believe to be moral and just compared to what they consider to be the opposite, and he shows us that the difference is only in our fragile minds.

He also show us how rediculous it is to have hatered of those that are different, yet how our tolerance is used as an excuse to hide our true feelings, of hate and disgust.

Could it be that we are ashamed of our own discrimination? and the more we strive not to discrimate we end up sacrificing our beliefs.

His work suggests alot, alot mre than we understand or care to admit.
There is a bit of genius in his abrasive and disgusting humor but only the concept of what he does not in the actual performace of it.

However I have to credit Cohen for his incredible ability to impress upon people and manipulate them into playing his game while at the same time never once breaking character, at least not on film.

Bruno is adult humor taken to a very shocking and sociological level.

There are some good actors in this......hard to follow the story
good for a one time watch.

Cobra

This is Stallone answer to terminator. Its Roughneck,Barbaric,Dark and dangerous,Sometimes violent just for the aske of being violent.Cobra is a crude tale, and a border line horror.

Cobra is cool, Stallone is great at being the anti-hero or good guy with an edge but this type of stuff is pretty worn out ever since lethal weapon and the days of die hard. Its definetly old school and if your a fan of that then Cobra is a must have and a major milestone for Stallone.
If you like in your face action, thriling chase scenes and murder victims
this is where its at. 80s action was all about tough guys and hot chicks.
Well that is if you count Bridgeete Neilson. This is definetly a gun glory.
Perhaps this movie is even responsible for the cliched Act 3 of a horror or action movie wherein the good guy chases the bad guy into a steel mill and they slug it out. Classic.
Right up there with Terminator but not quite as impactful.

Tango & Cash

This is really underpar now that I think about it. its somewhat interesting seeing Kurt Russel and Stallone team up but there 1 time romp is nothing more than a hayride over a hill. Its full antics and misfortune.

They try to play off each other but its obvious there a mismatch of acting styles. I feel a little bit dumber having watched it.
I think they tried to mimic the success of Lethal Weapon but failed.

How can you have Stallone playing a ritzy and clever wallstreet tycoon that is also the number 1 cop in his city? Hes too clean cut and straight forward, and alot unlike Stallone other characters who've had shady past.
Its almost like Sacraligwhen Tango says "Rambo sucks" compared to what may I ask?

If this were a western it would be Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid, but worse, its just an awful team up. Oh and it has a very young Teri Hatcher as Stallone's sister. Imagine that. Stallone without the girl this time.

Silly, stupid and uneventful with jokes that dont really cut it, action thats mostly just violent for the sake of being violent. Not exactly an adrenaline rush, more like a crash and burn mismatch with comic relief that just makes you scratch your head and stare at the ceiling.
