A Serious Man

This is a weird movie. it's sort of in between territory for just about every aspect of film. watching it, i was split betewwn humour, pain, and frustration as i just wanted thing to tie up, insted of being unresolved and going no where. the movie points out we want answers and in this film we realy need them.
i though this one was self indulgent; the jewish overtones are so thick it was like the coens are wriiting this because they wanted to do a personal movie. either that or someone convinced them they must do a jewish movie. this is not so bad, i have no problem with it perse, but it appears as if is a work of personal values.

A great film, sure to make it into my top ten favourites of all time.
There's a lot i can relate to in this film, and for me it makes it
very personal. which is great as it's almost like a reflection of my life;
the banality, the struggle to find hapiness, the guache interactions.
This is a wonderful chraming honest film. Not all of it is good, but then,
niether are humans. It made my smile, and whats more it has a great souundtrack. Some really, poignant and intimate scenes. Very witty and funny, there's a lot of under the surface comedy. it explores that emotionally exhuasting battle, and how we present ourselves.
very satisfied.

Film Noir? Close to it. Great cinematic effects, and camera work. Excellent use of Black and White as a strong medium. Something that doesn't need to be taken seriously but is still viceral. Overall very effective.

Damm! this is going straight to my favorites list. suberp screenplay, good structured script, plot line and details are esy to follow, but keep you hooked. its complex but easy to understand. very good. more people should be watching it. based on a book.
