~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Hmmmmm.....well, I love movies like I love music. I like 'em of all genres. No particular preferences, whatsoever! If it sounds good, looks good; then I'd try anything a first time. I go by my own opinion and instincts. The stuff that are pleasing to the ears and the mood of the mind. The essence that'd have you stop, standing still, jaw droppin', and all the while thinkin': "Sh*t! Now, that's absolutely brilliant." Movies are my fuel, and there's never a day that I go without (at least) seeing something; and neither is there a day that I don't leave the house without listening to some form of music. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ (First and foremost, it's always been about the movies!) ~*FaVoRiTe MoViE sCeNeS*~ SHAUN OF THE DEAD- Ed: "Are there any zombies out there?" [Shaun closes mail slot] Shaun: "Don't say that." Ed: "What?" Shaun: "That!" Ed: "What?" Shaun: "That!" Shaun: "The Zed word. Don't say it." Ed: "Why not?" Shaun: "Because it sounds ridiculous." Ed: "Oh alright. Are there any out there?" [Shaun reopens mail slot] Shaun: "Can't see any out there. Maybe, it's not bad as all that. Oh, no! There they are." THE PROPHECY- Gabriel: Jerry, come here. If you were a soul, where would you hide? Jerry: The hell away from you. Gabriel: It's not here. Jerry: Bad news for the war effort. Gabriel: SHUT UP! Joseph: And this is for you. He's also a hermaphrodite. [lifts the sheet covering the corpse so Thomas can see] Joseph: He's got both male and female sex organs. Thomas Daggett: Think of the possibilities! Joseph: Yeah, you can be impotent and frigid all at the same time Thomas Daggett: [thumbing through ancient Bible found on the dead John Doe] Cute. Joseph: What is it? Thomas Daggett: Twenty-third chapter of Saint John's Revelations. Joseph: And? Thomas Daggett: There is no twenty-third chapter. Joseph: Well, maybe this is the Teacher's Edition. Simon: Do you believe that you are a part of God's plan? Thomas Daggett: That's a complicated question. Simon: No it isn't. Gabriel: Simon, don't you remember when we fought together? When we threw down the renegades? Simon: They wanted to be gods. Gabriel: I don't want to be a god. I just want it back to the way it was when He loved us best. Thomas Daggett: If you wanted to prove your side was right, Gabriel, so badly, why didn't you just ask Him? Why didn't you ask God? Gabriel: Because He doesn't talk to me any more. Catherine: Go to hell! Gabriel: Heaven, darling. Heaven. At least get the zip code right. Catherine: It's all the same to you, isn't it? Gabriel: No. In heaven, we believe in love. Catherine: What do you love, Gabriel? Gabriel: Cracking your skull. Gabriel: This war is mine! Lucifer: Your war is arrogance. That makes it evil. And that's mine. Gabriel: Lucifer. Sitting in your basement. Sulking about your break up with the boss. You're nothing. Lucifer: Time to come home, Gabriel. WHEN DO WE EAT?- Ethan: "Now, food is a miracle. Really taste it." Zeke: "It's freakin' parsley." Ethan: "Imagine if food didn't come from the world. Imagine you'd have to climb a mountain for it. Or swim to get it." Ira: "Or have to earn it. You'd starve, Ethan." Nicki:"So, um, E. Notice any sparks flying back to God while your having incest." Ethan:"It is not incest." Nicki: "Really. Cousins. Incest." REALITY BITES- Tom:"Well, I guess it's about time for me to give you your graduation present." Lelaina: "Your gas card." Tom: "I'll pay that bill for one year. And since Helen Anne's got herself a brand-new Infiniti, we're gonna give you her old BMW. You pick it up at our house." Charlane: "BMW? BMW! Tom, didn't you listen to her speech today?" Tom: "Yeah." Charlane: "She doesn't want a BMW." Lelaina: "Mom, I'll handle this." Tom: "I'm not gonna sit here and listen again to some strange ethical argument about a damn car. It's got four wheels. It runs well. And, little darlin', after you've been in the real world, you're gonna appreciate that car." Troy: "Yeah just think of all those starving children in Africa that don't even have cars." Charlene: "Troy, does your father give you gifts like that?" Lelaina: "Mom!" Troy: "Well, actually, my father's dying of prostate cancer so I don't trouble him much for gifts." [Silence] Charlane: "See, Tom?" Tom: "Hmm?" Charlane [looking at Lelaina]: "You don't want a BMW. Tell him, Lelaina!" Tom: "Charlane, she can make up her own mind." Lelaina: "Dad, don't talk to her that way. She is not a child." Tom: "Well, she married one." Wes: "What?" [Tension mounts] Charlane: "All right. Excuse me. Come on." Lelaina [trying to settle the argument]: "Mom. Dad. I'll take the BMW until I can afford to buy a regular car, okay? Okay, Mom? Please? Mom, please? Come on." [Argument simmers down] Wes: "Get a ford." FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF- [a baseball game is on television] Ed Rooney: What's the score? Pizza Joint Owner: Nothin' nothin'. Ed Rooney: [not really listening] Who's winning? Pizza Joint Owner: The Bears. Ferris: If you're not over here in fifteen minutes, you can find a new best friend. Cameron: You've been saying that since the fifth grade. JERSEY GIRL- [Pop hands Ollie a baby bottle] Pop: Here, the kid gets this. Ollie: That's cute. 8:00, you both get a bottle. Pop: Just shut the hell up and go be a father, would ya, please? [Ollie gets up to leave, Father tips and drinks his beer] ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ ~*FaVoRiTe MoViE lInEs*~ "In a world where the dead are returning to life, the word 'trouble' starts to lose its meaning." ~Kaufman,(Land of the Dead) "Trust. An interesting movie! Filled with despair and tragedy for one man who loved his childhood sweetheart for several years, but couldn't do anything for her marriage to another embarks. Intriguing story plot. Sadly, the tales of the two in this movie is so intertwined that you feel remorse for them both. Great performances by Aishwarya Rai and Ajay Devgan.
Speed Racer (2008)
PG
This is definitely a new film cinema aspect for the Wachowski Brothers!! Several film genres rolled in together and done very nicely. Anime meets action-adventure, with a bit of drama and comedy in for the ride. This movie has great action sequences that have you intrigued, very colorful sequences. Anime sequences that reflect a bit of Frank Miller-ish. An interesting story plot that has a bit of suspense. A movie for all ages, but mind you the age limit should also be considered. (FOR THOSE WHO MIND THE MPAA & CENSORSHIP) The story follows the Racer family (who have a huge interest in the racing world); a father who builds and designs racing cars, and his sons who love & live for racing. Emile Hirsch, Christina Ricci, Susan Sarandon, and John Goodman all star in this movie. Benno Fuhrmann also co-stars. A must-see!!
The Prophecy
R
"Marked by fate, doomed by prophecy...Time is running out for mankind!"
How can one not be intrigued by that, here is the best & the first of the Prophecy collection. A film led by an all-star cast of actors: Christopher Walken, Elias Koteas, Virginia Madsen, Eric Stoltz, Adam Goldberg, Amanda Plummer, and-lo and behold-Viggo Mortensen (with a small part, that is). Of course this also gives a heartening welcome to uprising star, Moriah Shining Dove Synder. This movie is a reflection of Walken's ingenuity as he portrays an archangel, Gabriel. Mortensen also shines as the infamous fallen angel, Lucifier. Elias Koteas as Thomas Daggett, a detective who was about to become a priest but lost his faith in God. The film location is Superior, Arizona. This film gives a slight recognition to Native Americans (particulary Navajos). For example: Lucifer speaking a Navajo word that details "continue/go forth", a short scene where Mary is getting help by a hand trembler (a Navajo doctor who diagnoses which type of ceremony to use to "heal" [a person]), and of course, the last scene in the movie where a singing is taking place and Mary sits on a sandpainting (which also refers back to a Navajo ceremony). Fascinating! There's a cultural reference. Of course, there's Adam Goldberg. He's one among my favorite actors, and is simply brilliant in this movie. He portrays Jerry, a guy who commits suicide but is brought back to life by Gabriel (Walken) to serve, and through the film gives innovative, quirky quotes that only Goldberg is known for (which makes him terrific in my opinion).

Danger. Well the power of those animals impress me. danger in general, well there is no generalised danger. Different types of danger make you react differently. I mean no one wants their family and friends in danger. But the thrills and spills of car chases impress me. It is planed danger. I mean in movies not reality police shows. I hate those shows. They bore me, but some thing created in a movie professionally really impresses me.
