Miike Takashi shows that away from all the extremes he is still a terrific thoughtful director, capable of creating a deep and stunning film that is sincere and touching like no other. A true example of the versatility of a well known director while still sticking to many of his well known basics (humor, yakuza etc)
Very hard movie that details the effects of the aids epidemic in different corners of the world through three stories set in rural China, Canada and South Africa. Highlights the fact that although aids is a problem worldwide we fail to work together to fight it due to our huge differences in culture and belief.
Not as fun as I thought it would be, but I still can't resist a Bruce Campbell film. Especially when he is making fun of himself. What torture when that awesome memorabilia was being ruined.
