Bar none, my absolute favorite movie of ever and all time. I can even tolerate Greedo shooting first - barely.
This baby hits it on all cylinders.

Spider-Man (2002,  PG-13)
Spider-Man 5.0 Stars
The best superhero comics-to-film adaption ever.

It took a long time for this film to finally become a reality and much to the delight of myself and zillions of comic nerds everywhere, the wait was worth it.

While the movie took the typical Hollywood liberties with the story and characters, it was still very, VERY faithful to the comics and this is why it hit perfectly on so many levels. From Peter's angst as a teenager to young adult, the dynamics of the characters and the life lesson of "With great power, there comes great responsibility".

The casting wasn't perfect, but the acting ability of everyone compensated for those shortcomings (although J.K. Simmons was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT in his portrayal of J. Jonah Jameson!), and the special effects really made you believe a man could spin a web any size and catch thieves just like flies.

"Excuse me sir, is this the Delta house?"
The funniest, most quotable movie of all time - and nothing you can say will make me change my mind.

A brain...
an athlete...
a basket case...
a princess...
and a criminal.

With tons of memorable quotes, laugh-out-loud scenes and memorable characters, 'The Breakfast Club' is, hands down, the best "teen movie" made. In an hour and a half, John Hughes managed to sum up high school life circa 198something and give those of us who saw the movie while living the life hope. Hope that we weren't alone in being labeled by adults; hope that things could "only get better".

How good is this movie? Lets just say that whenever you read about an action film these days, it's pitched as "Die Hard in/on a ____(blank)______".

The classic Hitchcock "Wrong Man" movie has it all; action, suspense, humor and romance. Anyone that likes movie like "The Figitive" and any "man on the run" movies should look this one up and see how masterfully this type of story can be delivered.

"They're coming to get you, Barbara. IN fact, there's one now!"
The original and classic - to truly see this movie you need to track down the Millennium Edition and stop watching crappy public domain versions with muddied blacks and muted whites.
