Brilliant!! In the same league as Annie Hall...dysfunctional families, neuroses, and existential crises...right up my alley. I wish Woody Allen still made movies like this. Its a story about the relationship between three sisters and the madness that comes with them.

I had fun watching this movie! The plot isn't rivoting or a new idea on a fairy tale, but the story and visuals catch your attention. If you are looking for plot twists and strong character development, this is not for you! I liked it because it took me away for two hours to a land full of witches, prince charming, and magic. The best character in my opinion is Robert Di Niro...I won't spoil it for you, but check it out forsure.

I am so excited for this movie to be released! Will Smith plays a washed-up superhero who has taken liking to booze and debauchery...brilliant! I think this is another angle of the whole superhero flix. I hope my high expectations are not disappointed...

I really enjoyed this movie! Its a story about the dysfunctional relationship between a daughter and her father...he was recently discharged from the psychiatric hospital after three years of inpatient treatment...and he is not "cured" by any means. Douglas plays the mentally ill father who is obsessed with finding buried treasure...and by the way, he plays a very realistic person with mental illness. Check it out! Funny, enduring, and heart warming...but not in the sappy kinda way.

I'm having a hard time reviewing this one. In theory, I should love this movie...it has all the right elements to equal funny. However, this movie tends to drag on too long and is a tad too campy for me...yes, campy, which normally love. I don't know...there's just something about it that wasn't that great. Maybe someone else can pin this down for me...help me with this review. This is quite possibly the worst review ever. So I'm nor sure if I'm recommending this movie or not...lol. If you're not confused after reading this, I now I am.

I will be adding this one to "my dysfunctional family favorites" list. A great movie about a family broken apart from divorce and their stuggle to carve out thier own role within the fractured family. A narcissistic father who claims to be a wonderful writer, but now a professor...a mother coming into her own much later in life, she is an acclaimed writer and it pisses off the father...an older son who "writes his own music," worships his father and his advice, and is trying to find a girldfriend...a younger son who plays tennis, swears too much, and drinks beer. This movie has a Wes Anderson sensibility (he was involved in the movie, I think producer) with a character driven script and plot line...brilliantly bleek and depressing.

Despite what you may or may not heard about this movie, it was really good in my humble opinion...however, I say that with several disclaimers. 1): if you did not like Castaway because it was "slow" and did not have enought dialogue, this is NOT for you, 2): if you have preconceived ideas about what "monster" movies should be i.e. gore, excitement, and over the top antics, this is NOT for you, and 3): if you cannot appreciate subtle fear and thinking beyond what you see, this is NOT for you. So, if you meet any of the above criteria, don't bother...for the rest of you, ENJOY!

I adore this movie! It is soo cute. it is an updated version of a traditional fairy tale with evil queens, princesses, and prince charming. It took me back to my childhood and my love of princess stories...even if you're dripping with machismo, I think you could really enjoy this movie. Plus, it will earn you bonus points with the ladies!

Between the cast, director, and track record of previous movie chemistry (see: The Life Aquatic...and The Royal Tenenbaums), this is destined to be great. A story about three brother trying to come to terms with their family issues...it is set on a train traveling through India filled with local characters. Super funny and offbeat...most people would not find the humor in this movie due to it being kinda weird. If you're a fan of Wes Anderson...well, you probably already saw this movie then.

This movie was enjoyable and worth a watch. Made in typical Farrelly Brothers fashion, but not as funny as "Mary."

    WOW!! What a movie!

A story about the relationship between two people in love and their love of heroin...the movie is broken into three segments: heaven, eath, and hell...I think you can figure out the sequence of the movie based on those titles as well as the escalation of heroin abuse/dependence.

This movie does not glorify or romanticize drug use...rather is shows the ups, downs, and hardships of drug abuse. It would be a good movie to show in an addictions/psychology class and teenagers.

Let me preface my review: I am not anti-war/conflict and I completely support the troops...However, I do not believe in getting involved in other country's business... especially when it is solely to gain financial incentives.

This movie addresses the US involvement in Saudi Arabia and the bombing that occurs at an American facility (OIL COMPANY) in their country...IF YOU ARE A WAR MONGER, please do not watch this movie because it will validate your views and agendas...this movie really is not about any of that at all. It is about cultural beliefs and it is truly a humanistic view...who is really right? And who really is a terrorist?

Let the hate mail begin... lol
