Take a look at yourself in the mirror, who do you see looking back? Is it the person you wanna be? Or is there someone else you were meant to be, the person you should have been but just fell short of. Is someone telling you that you can't or you won't? Because you can. Believe that love is out there. And believe that dreams come true everyday, because they do. Sometimes happiness doesn't come from money or fame or power. Sometimes happiness comes from good friends and family, and from the quiet nobility of leading a good life. So take a look in that mirror and remind yourself to be happy, because you deserve to be. Believe that. And believe that dreams come true everyday, because they do.
Some say ice. From what I've tasted of desire I hold with those who favor fire. But if it had to perish twice, I think I know enough of hate To say that for destruction ice Is also great And would suffice. -Robert Frost Upcoming Skins: Elizabeth Reaser Thomas Dekker |

This movie is one of my all time fav movies, It makes me laugh just thinking about it.

Kill Bill: Volume 1
R
It's has been a real long time since I've seen a KICK UR BUTT movie, so it was really refreshing to watch this movie. It's really different and I'm sure you will enjoy it. People say its to weird, like w/ all the blood and stuff, but I think its great.

Fight Club
R
My new favorite movie! This movie was so unique. The actors were fantastic. W00T! I loved it.
5.
Juno
PG-13
What a breath of fresh air, this comedy/little drama is so fun. This movie is hip with the language that normal teenagers use today, (well i dont know if it was normal but that's how my friends talk) It was great to just watch a movie that was real, with real people and real issues and problems. Ellen Page is now my new favorite actress, I'm totally keeping my eye on her whever she goes in her movie career. Michael Cera also rocked it out as the nerdy kid who under it all is cool. Jennifer Garner was perfect as hungry mother-to-be, perfect. I hope more movies like these are made, I'll be waiting...

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist
PG-13
If you watch a movie, and at the end of the movie you feel good inside, then that movie gets 5 stars from me. I think Michael Cera only knows how to play one character, but it works for him I guess. Kat Dennings rocks my socks off. The only sucky thing about this movie is that, 2 random people can fall in love and I can't find one chick to fall for me. Oh well. I'm so going to buy this movie. And I recommend this to anyone.

Hot Fuzz
by AnnaFor those who have already reject "Hot Fuzz' as I did at the beggining I have to say; "IT ROCKS HARD!!!!!" Judging from its poster this movie seems to be another meaningless action film, but it's not!!! It's a speedy English comedy that mixes action and mystery. Simon Pegg as the cop Nicholas Angel and Nick Frost as Danny, Angel's partner are awesome!! These two guys have a great chemistry. I actually felt that "Shaun of the dead" and "Hot fuzz" were made just to elevate this unique friendship between Pegg's and Frost's characters who remain friends in any situation, even if the have to deal with zombies or crazy and greedy for power people!!!

Back to the Future Part II
by JohnnyI just have to say welcome to the future. This movie was totally awesome. I liked that Marty has to keep going back to the past and to the future just he just screws everything up. I like what Zemeckis made when Marty went to the future and saw his son and when his girlfriend saw her future family. That part was really weird though. But I can't understand why Mcfly has to be soooo pissed off at being called a chicken. It just totally iritates him. Overall, I thought this was a really cool movie.

Vicky Cristina Barcelona
by KevinQuite simply one of the best Woody Allen films I have ever set my eyes on! Thats saying alot, the guy is a movie legend. I would rank this up there with Annie Hall, which is often regarded as his best film.
First off I love how the movie opens up. The scene in the resurtant when Javier Bardem's character suggests that Vicky( Rebecca Hall) and Christina( Scarlett Johanson) should fly to Spain with him and perhaps going site seeing and afterwords "make love" I love how he was so causal about the whole situation and how appualed Vicky was by the suggestion. At the same time Christa embrasses the opportunity. That scene says so much about all three characters and sets up the story perfectly. You can defentitly tell that Allen has complete control over this film.
From there on you see the relationship unfold. It has a very seductive feel to it. So incredibly sexy and provocative these scenes are.Spain was the damn near perfect place to set this film,it really does a great job and seduces the viewer, very effective! It plays this very thin line on relationships. Just how long can a relationship last? How do you know if its meant to be? Can love be free or must it be contained. These are some very important and controversial issues that the film adresses.
As for the performances, well one might say that Penelope Cruz steals the movie. And you know what I think she does, however I was surprised that she didnt come into the movie until the fifty minute mark. It was also nice to see Javier Bardem play a more sane character. He has so much range in this film, through his facial expression one could tell that he had seduced these young girls. Scarlett Johansson didnt wow in this film, probualy the weakest link. Rebecca Hall though, she was in her element. With this and Frost Nixon she has had quite the breakout year.
Overall you cant go wrong with this sophisticated love story. For all you guys out there who might not give this film a chance because its a " chick flick",well shame on you.
Juan Antonio: Maria Elena used to say that only unfulfilled love can be romantic.Check out this sophisticated love story, with jaw droping performances.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
by MeshDoes this second installment exceeds the first one? like we hope for?
personally, no.
Transformers 2 have a very decent plot and story line, but boring action and mind blowing boring character development. Sam's parents can irritate the hell out of you, while the CGI robots can makes you appreciate the advancement of technology. Special effect was done brilliant, every detail is captured well including sounds effect and cinematography.
Shia Labeouf did average, actually he was exaggerating in some scenes, while Megan Fox looks super duper hot, my eyes was fix on the new hottie, Isabel Lucas :P
Michael Bay did alright, he should try to cut the movie length if the 3rd is going to be made (The last half an hour was totally ridiculous and unimportant)
6/10.Not that special!

2001: A Space Odyssey
by JohnnyUsually, when I write a review, I try to make it considerably long, in order to give my full opinion of the direction, acting, story, etc. But this is something I simply can't do with this movie because 2001 is not meant to be taken in the literal sense. Acting and storyline take a far lesser importance, in this movie because it is an allegory. Rather than telling you what my interpretation of this movie was, I will allow you to discover that for yourself.
Flixster - Share MoviesThe film is composed of four episodes. Three of the major sections are subtitled:
The Dawn of Man
A primeval ape man makes a breakthrough - becoming endowed with intelligence after experiencing a mysterious black monolith.
(The Lunar Journey in the Year 2000) - untitled
Eons later, a similar monolith is discovered on the lunar surface in the 21st century, sending its signals to Jupiter.
Jupiter Mission, 18 Months Later [(in 2001 or 2002)]
A futuristic, 18-month journey to Jupiter.
Jupiter and Beyond the Infinite
A mystical experience in another time and dimension.
Monoliths link the primeval, futuristic, and mystical sections of the film. [Note: Originally, the Discovery was to visit the planet Saturn, but the special effects team couldn't realistically reproduce the rings of the planet, so Jupiter was used instead.
I will simply say that this is is an amazing cinematic achievement, one of the best movies ever. Just remember that it is an allegory, and try to look beyond the literal.Hey, you should DIFINITELY see this!
The subtleties of this movie make it essential to read the book before viewing in order to understand the plot, so those who are just looking for something to sit down and watch will be disappointed. It's a different movie in every way, and is very interesting; assuming you know what's going on. posted 7 days ago -

The Deer Hunter
by JohnnyI came 12,000 miles back here to get you...What's the matter with you? Don't you recognize me?...Nicky, I love you, you're my friend. What are you doing?
Reluctantly saw this movie, and appreciated how effective a job it did portraying the psychological aspects and impact of war. If you are seeking a movie that effectively shows the devastating impact and trauma of war, this is a must see. Also, as a side note, is the movie that gave Christopher Walken his "creepy guy" reputation. But I don't want to give anything away!Hey, you should really see this!

Taken
by DeanA very good nitty-gritty action/thriller. It packs a real punch not just for the great action scenes and fights but also for the storyline and good acting. I wasn't convinced at first at casting Liam Neeson in this type of role, but he plays the part of a doting father hell bent on revenge and getting his daughter back very well.
