1.
The Prestige
PG-13
An absolute stunning movie, seriously. The plot was complex and unpredictable, slowly unravelling to a greater picture, and the acting was great. I LOVED it. I will be very disappointed if this film did not win an Oscar.
2.
Memoirs of a Geisha
PG-13
The best Asian movie I have ever seen, on account that it does not have those annoying English dubs. It is a beautiful bittersweet story with amazing visuals in setting and costume. It was very well done. Well deserving of Oscars.
3.
Equilibrium
R
A great movie. With fight scenes similar to the Matrix, and a riveting plot, this movie is a must see.
4.
Final Fantasy VII - Advent Children
PG-13
A stunning movie, however prior knowledge is required (having played the game Final Fantasy VII). The plot and the meaning to it is amazing, and the animation and design is extremely well done. A very good movie.
5.
King Kong (2005)
PG-13
A wicked movie, with the best special effect's I've seen. It's hard to believe it's NZ made.
6.
Underworld
R
This movie turned out suprisingly better than I thought- it had a good plot, and stunning visuals. It's sequel was disappointing.
