Zombieland
R
A lot has been said about its similarities with "Shaun of the Dead", but comparisons are needless, "Zombieland" is a good "romzomcom" film. Bill Murray's fun cameo added to the film's entertainment value, but the climax at the amusement park, like the one in "Star Trek"(what a comparison!), lacked real peril and struggle for the protagonists, doing the zombie killing-jobs effortlessly. The style of the film is also one of its strong points, and surprisingly (spoilers!), a half-crazed protagonist like Woody Harrelson's did not end up as zombie meal in the end (as far as cliches are concerned).
Princess Mononoke (Mononoke-hime)
PG-13
Epic, mythological story of man vs. nature. As said countless times, "Princess Mononoke" is not just a simplistic tale of good vs. evil, but it is rather a representation of Miyazaki's view on the mutual relationship of the two. Maybe it's just me, but the battle sequences have some Kurosawa vibe in them. A great, and subtly philosophical film with superb animation.

The Greatest film ever made. Scorsese and DeNiro's best film. A very realistic film showing a man's descent into madness. DeNiro couldn't get much better than this one.

A bravura film directed by master filmmaker Stanley Kubrick. The scene when Bowman was sucked into the vortex left me breathless.
