Valkyrie

When I first saw the title of this movie without even watching the trailer and just knowing it was about Germany, I had to watch it just for it's name, Valkyrie. Coincidently, my dad named his rottweiler Valkyrie.
This was a good suspenseful movie about a plot to kill Hitler. You don't know if they'll share their plan with the wrong person who will rat them out or even if it will work.
The plan was well thought out and it's interesting to see how the plan unfolds.
I would recommend this movie if you have an interest in Hitler. It has a good mix of actors.
I'm glad I finally watched it!

Doghouse

Funny with a little bit of humorous gore chucked in.
A group of lads visit a town in the middle of no where only to discover that all its female inhabitants have turned into male hating zombies.
Fast paced and interesting from the start, this should give you a giggle a minute.

Waking Life

Amazing,like a breath of fresh air! Wow this movie really surprised me,so intellectual as a film. In fact it very well make the average viewer feel like an idiot. The whole movie takes place in a dream like state,the main character talking to or rather listening to people rant on a particular subject. Each one is memorizing and captivates you almost like you are in a college course or something.
Another plus is the amazing animation. They switch between animators so each scene seems refreshing to me. Although I must admit some of the scenes gave me a headache.
I think my favorite scene was when he was talking to the man about dreams. This really opens your mind to some interesting stuff. Like controlling your dream once you are aware that it is a dream and that you can tell its a dream when you can't turn off the light switch.
Some may be bored by this film,but the one thing you can't say is that its not original. Its one of the most original movies I have ever seen,always kept me captivated! On top of all of this it has a great ending. What more can you ask for in a film?

Before Sunrise

Great movie! Nothing short of a masterpiece,in my eyes this is a perfect love story. Screw,the Notebook,fuck A Walk To Remember,this is the ultimate romance of out time! This movie so original,taking you into a journey into two strangers live for about 1hour and 40 mins. They enrich us with their deep conversations. The stories about their first love experiences,never before have I have to engaged in to what two characters had to say on screen. For the most part the dialogues felt natural and unforced. Ethan Hawke and Juli Delpy felt almost perfect for each other and the part. There wasnt a second that I denied their chemistry on screen. I could tell that they were falling in love,they may never meet again,but that didnt matter to me,just that they were in the moment for one night. Perfect...

Jesse: You know what's the worst thing about somebody breaking up with you? It's when you remember how little you thought about the people you broke up with and you realize that is how little they're thinking of you. You know, you'd like to think you're both in all this pain but they're just like "Hey, I'm glad you're gone".

Blood, guts, and offbeat surrealism in another crackpot classick from "The Wizard of Gore" himself, director Herschell Gordon Lewis.

This movie has been on my Netflix queue for quite a while so I can safely say that I've wanted to see it since before Juno was out. This is the fourth Herschell Gordon Lewis film I've seen so far and only the second I've liked, the other was Two Thousand Maniacs. This, much like Two Thousand Maniacs, is a good movie. Not because it actually has substance and is well thought out, but because it is a lot of fun to watch and has become a cult classic.

Let's be honest for a minute here, when Herschell Gordon Lewis was directing films, he had no idea what he was doing. As a friend of mine said "he is the Ed Wood of gore films." I have to agree completely. The editing is always choppy and horrible, the music is poorly placed, the acting seems to be straight out of a junior high play, and nothing seems believable. This brings me to the gore. If HGL only got one thing right in his career, it was gore. The gore in this film is awesome and cheesy. He may have made bad films, but they sure are entertaining.

Sorry for going off on so many tangents, I'll get back to this movie. The story follows a TV reporter and her boyfriend who attend a magician's show of blood and dismemberment. They become suspicious of several deaths being linked to the show. It's a simple story but it is a lot of fun. I really like the magician theme. The bad acting factor definitely applies in this movie. I often wonder where HGL found these people. But as always, the gore is magnificent(no pun intended) and almost saves the movie. I had a lot fun with it.

See this movie if you're a fan of Herschell Gordon Lewis and you won't find much of anything new but it is a very good time. Go! Now!

I Love You, Man

This movie was hilarious! I've always enjoyed Paul Rudd and I'm glad he was partnered with Jason Segel for this comedy. Jon Favreau also cracked me up since he is so good at being an asshole!
I was able to watch this movie with my parents and it must not have been too crude since my mom was able to sit thru and enjoy it too.
I don't know about the "jerk-off" station and I hope I never see one in real life!
I'm sure there are a lot of guys out there that couldn't think of who to ask to be their best man, but I still wonder why can't a girl be their best man...or their mom? HAHA just kidding! Really!
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! If you haven't see this one yet, go rent it now!

ok,I am pretty sure I am gonna have my ass handed over to me on this one,However WTF? This is another one of my Trailer Train wrecks.What Happened?I am disappointed with this one.I will say the last hour was better than the first hour but thats about it,Like I said I am braced for a shit storm on this one but I am sure that there are a few out there that feel the way that I do and think that the trailer blew this up to be something that it was never capable of being.
