Apart from the predictable romance storyline there are some quite engrossing thriller moments in this generally enjoyable film. I also have to point out that as someone who's more familiar with parodies of movie scenes than the movies themselves (in this case The Simpsons), it's always nice to discover the original version in all its earnestness lol.

I'll remove half a star from my rating if I fall into a sound and dreamless sleep tonight. It doesn't take a genius to know that any pre-existing fears of the supernatural you have will contribute in a HUGE way to your opinion of this movie. Why am I even stating the obvious? Maybe because I'm trying to distract myself from thinking about the movie, which has effectively secured me 24/7 usage of the lights in my bedroom until next week, at the very least. The film is worth a try, though it may cause slight motion sickness.

An absolute masterpiece. TRAGIC YET MAGICAL.
