I won't bother with the story. This is one of the most briliant pieces of story telling> The animation is excellent. Now I don't have blue ray but the hi def is as close to real as possible.
But enough of the tech. aspect
The Story telling is beautiful done.
Recommend it DEFINATELY

The original sort is excellent. the film itself is okay. It is a classic machine verse humanity where humanity overcomes the evils of the machine. It has a very strange moment of brilliance using Judy Garland's Over the Rainbow.
From that moment the movie become very predictable when it could have been very epic.
Overall it is an interesting movie to watch the characters are excellent. It would not be a bad edition to you library, but I'm waiting till it hits the 5 dollar bin at walmart.

one of the most intersting films, especially the techinque

The director's cut in approximately 20 minutes longer and tells the story much better. A darkly interesting story of time travel, madness. It is one of the best pictures that I have seen. Well, scripted, acted, directed, scored, and shot. Definately one of those sleeping pieces that should be in a collectors library.
