This sounds really good!

I'm really torn on how many stars to give this movie because there are so many things that I both love and hate about it. For starters, this is an extremely violent film, true to David Cronenberg's style. That alone had me hiding during some very bloody scenes, not to mention the expletives. Despite the fact that I actually saw most of this movie in Russian while reading the English screenplay, the performances are very strong. Just wanting Viggo Mortensen take on this role was enough to make me see this movie. Thus, Eastern Promises is a very dark story, yet at the same time it is strangely intriguing.

Definately one of my fav movies!!! Utterly captivating with a beautiful setting.

I love this flim sooo much! I first saw it when I was 9 and I couldn't stop singing their songs!
