Avatar - PG-13 Avatar is a very entertaining movie with great eye candy. It's basically everything I hoped for from Star Wars Episode 1. The plot isn't as original as James Cameron thinks though. The plot is basically a combination of Ferngully: The Last Rain Forrest and Dances with Wolves. But CGI wise and excitement wise the movie was well worth the expense.
Also, Avatar is less for females than Titanic, it's more for the Cameron fans that loved films like Aliens and Terminator 2. Which to me is a very good thing since I'm a guy and since I only watched Titanic once lol.

Inglourious Basterds - R Despite non-stop dialogue Inglourious Basterds is still a brilliant film and one of Tarantino's best. The middle scene in the bar has so much chit chat that I zoned out for like 10 minutes and it was still going on. But the movie is still exceptionally well made and the last half hour had me glued to my seat. I think everyone that played a Nazi a really good job but not of them were as believable as Christopher Waltz. While Brad Pitt's performance is brilliant as well. The film may be too long but it's still a very well made re-write of history. December 27, 2009

American Pie Presents: Book of Love - R Book of Love is better than some of the made for dvd movies. It of course has tons of nudity and teens caught in embarrassing moments. But what makes it better than movies like Band Camp and Naked Mile is that it at least doesn't have the ridiculously overdone sperm shooting scenes. December 27, 2009

(500) Days of Summer - PG-13 If you want to see a Romantic Comedy that doesn't suck, then 500 Days of Summer is for you.Joseph Gordon-Levitt shows that he's one of the best young actors around, here.....not in G.I Joe. While Zooey Deschanel (Almost Famous, Elf) is adorable as always as the girl that Levitt instantly sees as the one. Levitt is really good in comedies and at playing underdog heroes like in Brick and the Lookout....which is why he needs to stop playing villains in movies like G.I Joe and Kill Shot. All About Steve - PG-13 All About Steve is a stalker comedy....not a romantic comedy about a lonely workaholic named Marie (Sandra Bullock) that gets hung-up on the first guy that she ever agreed to get set up with. His name is Steve (Bradley Cooper) and he doesn't share the same feelings. In fact he thinks she's insane.

Steve is the cameraman for a ego maniac reporter (Thomas Haden Church). So when Steve's job takes him on the road he makes the mistake of telling Marie that it's too bad she couldn't come. When Marie's schedule suddenly becomes clear, she decides to pursue Steve.

That's all you really need to know since through-out the movie all Marie does is follow Steve everywhere he goes. But also due to the Thomas Haden Church character telling her that Steve really does want her around even if he says he doesn't.

I liked the cast and I actually thought both Bullock and Church were good, especially Bullock. The way she runs while in those big red boots is actually funny. I also thought that some of the reporting scenes are pretty funny since things never really go as Haden Church would like them to. Still, the movie is a road to no where. It contains no romance and only has a small amount of charm due to Bullock. While at least Cooper wasn't hurt by the movie due to the popularity of the Hangover outshining how much anyone hated this movie.

When in Rome - PG-13 I'll probably see it but it looks really cliche. I mean how fresh is it to have a romantic comedy where a clumsy girl and boy fall in love. On top of it random men fall for the Kristen Bell character....just because she took their coins out of a fountain in Rome. So yeah, I predict one star from many critics. It's too bad because a movie with Kristen Bell (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and Josh Duhamel (Win a Date with Tad Hamiltion) had potential. December 24, 2009

Zombieland - R This was a fun movie, not as fun as Shaun of the Dead but almost as fun. The cast worked great together and the cameo by Bill Murray is ingenious. It is very violent and gross like you'd expect from a zombie movie but it also has a touching story about friendship, love and trust. December 24, 2009
