This really got to me when I saw it back in the '70s. It has a really creepy atmosphere, and I remember feeling a sense of dread through the whole movie. The performances by Sutherland and Christie are excellent, too. If you're into the type of horror film that insinuates itself into your psyche, and basically messes with your head, you might want to check this out.

seriously best action movie of all time! very original and groundbreaking. then followed by a bunch of rip offs in years to come that can't even compete!

Die Hard

I just watched this film about an alien abduction again after many years, and I think it's quite good. It's based on the true story of Travis Walton, who disappeared for 5 days in 1975. Robert Patrick is excellent as Travis' best friend, and the scenes aboard the alien craft are truly, truly disturbing. Truly.
