My favorite comedy of all time! Hilarious throughout with great music! Who could ask for more great R&B performances in one movie! Entertaining non-stop.
My second favorite science fiction film after "2001." Hypnotic and visionary, Ridley Scott mesmerizes with a look into the future that is unique and unmatched in its ambition. Beautifully made classic film!
My favorite "Star Trek" film! Yeah, I know that makes me different. But, I believe that this is the one "Star Trek" that truly feels like a film and not an extended, big-budget TV episode. A unique storyline that actually thinks about life beyond Earth, a great film score, and excellent visual effects make this a great movie! The new, remastered DVD looks great and allows you to see the film the way Robert Wise intended you too.
George Lucas' greatest film, and also one of the best Independent Films ever! An excellent ensemble cast, great music, writing and direction make this one of the best nostalgic movies. Walter Murch provided revolutionary sound design and Haskell Wexler helped create the pitch-perfect cinematography. A meloncholy epilogue gives the film that unique 70's signature.
Great crime saga! DePalma's best film, with a great, edgy David Mamet script. This film took me completely by surprise in the theatre! Very impressive on all counts.
One of the greatest crime stories! William Friedkin excels with a film that allows for deeply flawed heroes. Great immersion in the '80's scene and an incredible car chase that is among film history's best!
The all-time greatest stage-to-screen adaptation! David Mamet's legendary dialogue is paired with one of the most impressive casts assembled in a long time! Excellent direction, cinematography and film score make the film fully cinematic, allowing the audience to understand the diverse characters.
