Interesting wrap-up of the loose ends from "Casino Royale." Not perfect, but how could it be? With lots of questions left to answer, "Quantum" has a lot to cover. But, it is done well, with an artistic touch by director Marc Forster. Daniel Craig does another great job, and the ending nicely sets up what's to come in the next film!
Thought of as just a "disco movie," this is much more! A complicated coming-of-age story about a young man who is trying to get out of his dead-end existence. Add to that the great filmmaking, acting and music, and you have one of the better movies from the '70's!
Reasonably entertaining Neil Simon comedy that is primarily interesting for its look at the perils of travel on the 1970's East Coast. What doesn't work is Jack Lemmon's endlessly irritating character, and the fact that both he and Sandy Dennis seem more like native New Yorkers than out-of-towners. Honestly, listen to Sandy Dennis' accent. That isn't New York? C'mon!
Goofball, listless addition to the "Indiana Jones" series. Harrison Ford gives 100%, but that's about it! Everyone else is just going through the paces. Action scenes that rely on visual effects and a completely uninspiring quest (alien skull!) make this truly disappointing. And, not worth the wait!
Fascinating, gutsy, dark musical that combines a gritty story with difficult characters, and spectacular musical numbers. Not easy material to accept, but challenging, with superb cinematography by Gordon Willis.
