I am a director. I love movies. I have to travel to the united states to get them most of the time because its slim pickings here in Mexico. I am a Chicano (a mexican born in the us) but I moved back to Mexico a long time ago because this is where i belong. I one day hope to meet Edgar Wright (the greatest Director of all time and one day the world will see) I'd also like to meet Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Kevin Smith and George Lucas and Steven Spielberg,Quentin tarantino,Stan Lee,Dave Matthews,
Guillermo Del Toro, Jackie Chan and last but not least Robert Rodriguez. Personally I think of myself as a laid back person who loves to laugh. I'm not judgmental to any one in anyway.I have done a lot of bad things and hurt a lot of people in the past and if your are here getting ready to send me a nice email of how much you hate me I totally understand but let me just say to you that I am truly sorry for every thing I have ever done and that i am not the same person I use to be. PEOPLE CAN CHANGE. I do believe in God and I have that right to do so.I don't send you hate mail because you don't believe in God do I? Noo!!! So back up off me about it, you aint going to change my mind. In the last 8 years or so I have made friends with people all over the world and I have learned what it is to be a friend. Thanks to all who have played their part in helping me learn that. |

The Dark Knight

I only rated this movie last week and Had to hold my tongue because I didn't want to spoil it for any one but I guess If you didn't see this movie on its opening night or the next day then I wonder if your a true fan at all but i do understand that life has its turns so maybe you couldn't make it to the movies so if that's the case just stop reading. Wow is all I can say about this movie I was blown away by every minute, and every frame of this movie. It sad that Ledger is no longer with us because he finally gave me not only the joker that I have been wanting to see but also the Batman movie I have waited my whole life to see. This movie does not disappoint its packed with everything from a great script to great performances. It safe to say that this is the best comic book movie yet to date. now here comes my dislikes (they are small compared to all the great things this movie does have) ......I actually have decide to wait on this part till a few more people have seen it so TO BE CONTINUED.....

I was blown away by Schwimmers direction on this. Simon Pegg is top notch as always and the script is pretty solid. Dylan Moran seems to play a toned down version of his charecter on black books but still a amazing job. This is a positive fun movie for everyone. (nn)

This is actually a better film then the second one despite its errors of continuity and boom stick shadows.The movie actually has a great lead zombie that is sure to go down as a horror icon in film history.This is the last good movie in the series after this one the ROTLD series goes down hill.(n)

Not only a must see but a must have.Shaun of the Dead takes every thing good about the zombie genre and makes it better with a great story and a great cast. Shaun of the dead will easily become a cult classic and with amazing direction from Edgar Wright this movie quickly became my favorite movie.

Hands down the best cop movie ever.An amazing cast,hell theres is even 2 Bill Bailey's in it (kind of). A great movie from director Edgar Wright. Who really shows us that not only can he hang with the big directors but is much better then most of them. Keep a eye on this one he is destined for greatness.The chemistry between Pegg and Frost is excellent as the feed off of each others talent making ever scene outstanding. Last but not least Bill Nighys small but unforgettable part is a must see for all nighy fan. See it if you haven't seen it , buy it if you haven't bought it.

When I seen the trailer for this movie as a kid I knew I had to see it. Jack Burton and the pork chop express where the batman and bat mobile of my time.Packed with action,comedy, great effects,fun story,and a great score.This is John carpenter at his best."Its all in the reflexes"

Ahead of its time. dark as they come and a ballsy move on brownings part to cast real authentic (freaks as the movie calls them). Then top it all off with a cruel story line and you have your self a hit. (nn)

The Return of the Living Dead

One of the greatest zombie movies ever made.Trust me I have seen a lot of bad zombie movies. James Karen and Don Calfa steal the show in this bloody yet funny at times brain eating extravaganza. Watch it with a open mind and remember that it was made with a low budget in 1985. It to me is great horror film making from Dan O'Bannon.Who I would love to see directing again.

This is a must see for Donnie yen fans. Incredible fight scenes that only Yuen Woo ping can bring you. This movie has it all romance, action, comedy,and drama. You can however skip out on the sequel.

by OscarA really good flick with an interesting story and a really good twist. I´m alway being interesting in stories about religious fanatic, I find that subject so disturbing.
Matthew McConaughey did a great performance, and guess what? he isn´t shirtless.

The 1st 15 minutes of the film were a complete waste, it introduced Maggie Gyllenhal as a dorky-innocent-mental-pervert that feels pleasure out of pain but somehow something felt boring, but when the main characters (Spade and Gyllenhal) meet each other the movie gets interesting. You may think I'm a pervert to say this: but Perversion never felt rare, and thats because you get to care about the character (well played by Maggie) whose innocence makes perversion anything but evil or depraved.The only complain is that the monotonic-sad music wasn't appropriate for some scenes, and even some of the scenes felt comedic, which made me think that the movie would've worked better as a full comedy drama. aside from that (and as I said the 1st 15 mn.) the film is quite pretty darn good!Hey, you should really see this!

Once
by Cruz"Once is an independent film by excellency" and because its indie tone the movie pays-off well, that tone goes along with the sweet&sour theme of the movie. It's a mixture of good things that form a simple story and the simplicity itself is another of its good things. Even the songs are excellent, they play an important role: they tell you how to feel and react to the images or sequences. In other words "Once" is a once in while movie experience!

The movie has some funny moments but frecuently loses the pace.

by Juan C¡Fantástica película de drama! No se dejen engañar, sólo porque sea una película de "superheroe" de comics no signifique que no se pueda hacer una buena película. Como dije, es una película dramática donde los personajes, los diálogos y la historia están perfectamentes realizadas, a la altura de cualquier película "seria". Para adultos amantes del buen cine. No van a salir defraudados. EXCELENTE

by Juan CDe la animación es mejor ya ni hablar, se ha llegado a niveles que ya son tan buenos que no hay nada que decir. Pero la historia es otra cosa. La verdad fue un apuesta lo que hicieron los de Pixel y ganaron. Sin casi diálogos, muchos silencios y momentos planos, y una moraleja no tan obvia, pero muy presente. No sé que tienen los de Pixel, pero definitivamente saben hacer éxito. Wall-e me encantó y está muy cerca de Toy Story de ser un clásico. Ve a verla!

by Juan CFue hace muchos años que vi por primera vez esta película, pero hasta el día de hoy me hace reir como ninguna otra. Los diálogos son rápidos, inteligentes y muy propios para lo que se intenta hacer. Los finales alternativos son de lo mejor y los personajes... clásicos. Además, crear una película tan buena de un juego de mesa en verdad que tiene su mérito. Consíguela y ríete durante toda la película, la vas a disfrutar.

by Juan CRealmente me agradó esta película. Después de escuchar tantos malos comentarios me sorpredió lo bueno de la historia, lo genial que son los tres personajes principales (que básicamente son los únicos que hay) y la gran moraleja que tiene. Definitivamente la mejor opción para los que creen que Batman fue demaciado dramática.
