Whether u like him or not the message this film has is very important from a humanitarian point of view and the importance of social capital in a country. I'm glad I hadn't seen this one before / during my time living in the US.
The Page Turner (La Tourneuse de pages)

I love the cruelty that's within this interesting main character. The acting is over all stunningly good!
Paris Je T'aime

As a lover of France and the culture this composition of short films was surpricingly grealt. All of 'em also has messages for the viewer to bring about.
V for Vendetta

As a political science major just the fact that the thought Wachowski plays with is soo interesting and good... a HUGE + is that they interconnect the script with a bunch of old honorable writers and their theories.

Lost In Translation

Just love Sofia Coppolas way of telling a story without usin too many words... I never felt so ..fulfilled the first time I saw it. I can still recall that rare feeling.
3.
Pulp Fiction
R
soo unique, wonderful screen play by all the amazing actors/actresses. For example... I envy the magicalspark between Uma and John.
4.
Sin City
R
The contrasts appeal to me. The cruilty in the made up world that is soo similar to our own, it triggers my intrest and I can not wait to watch the sequel.
5.
Kill Bill, Volume 1
R
I never thought I would fall in love witha serial killer... untill I met Beatrix Kiddo, the fact that I pitty her, despites all her faults still astonish me. Quentin is a king- drirector when it comes to action, he´s always keeping the balance on a rail from falling down into the mainstream slaughter ocean. He keeps the balance and creates pure beauty.
6.
Amelie (Amelie from Montmartre)
R
the one movie that allways turn my mood into a happyone. I admire Amelie the character her traits, and the way Audrey pictures her. Probably the one movie I've seen most times.

Come see this movie with me...Just when you thought that the whole virgin mummy genre had played itself out, along comes a film like this to restore our faith in ancient Egyptian abstinence. Yeah!

One movie for the rest of my life? The Wizard of Oz... because it never gets old. I can watch it to relive favorite childhood memories. I can watch it for comic relief. I can listen to it for the familiar music and lyrics. I can search it for hidden meaning. I can watch it when I need a good scare (al la wicked witch). The list is endless.... :)
