Kenny
PG-13
A wonderful feel good movie and with some excellent one liners. You were really routing for Kenny in the end.
The X-Files: I Want to Believe (The X Files 2)
PG-13
I was looking forward to this reunion for ages as I was a huge fan of the series but the problem is that as the series went out on something of a whimper you can hardly remember what happened when the series ended. Chris Carter doesn't help by just jumping to situations that leave you thinking, "What? Wait a minute!" Such as the moment you see Mulder and Scully sleeping together without any build up even though you're under the impression that they'd not seen each other in ages and then later says they're living together. Since when? A flashback or two would have been nice. Another thing is the story itself is not great. There's no little grey men to be seen or conspiracy theories. It's very un-X-Files and for a movie you'd expect something bigger than what is really just a average feature length episode.
American Psycho
R
I wasn't sure what to expect before watching this but this is one of the blackest comedies I've seen. I loved the way Christian Bale's character talked about 80's music, especially Phil Collins.
The Dark Knight
PG-13
I doubt you'll see a better superhero movie until the next Batman movie and it would have to be pretty good to top this!
It's probably the most complex, character driven film of it's genre and doesn't rely on set pieces to move the story along.
Granted it is long at just over 150 minutes but it doesn't drag too much.
Heath Ledger is unrognisable as The Joker and he is one sick individual.
As well as Heath a special mention must go to Aaron Eckhart who is fantastic as Harvey Dent.
It's certainly not a kids film and I have a feeling that it was edited to make it 12A, especially at the start with scene involving The Joker, a knife and gangster boss but I'm sure it'll restored for the DVD version. Noneless, although annoying it doesn't ruin the film.

Lucas tried to better the original and failed miserably. A timeless classic.

I recommend you see...
In Bruges
by SamFinally! The movie I've been waiting to see all year. One that is entirely satisfying. And In Bruges delivers!!!
This movie does not disappoint. There is a perfect amount of humor (and oh yeah it's very dark humor) to undercut the drama and action taking place in this movie. And the story has a good amount of suspense. The music is fantastic, and it gives this movie the feeling and power necessary to completely dazzle! The music makes the movie so much more emotionally resonant. There are great performances from Ralph Fiennes (absolutely perfect antagonist and absolutely hilarious at that), Brendan Gleeson (completely connected with his character), and have to save the best for last...COLIN FARRELL! I am officially a fan now, because up until now I have never been that impressed with any of his work...but...WOW! This guy is actually a damn good actor! He just needs to quit starring in bad movies.
It's just got so much working in its favor. I only wish I could've seen it when it was in theaters. And the ending...oh man...THE ENDING!! Without question my favorite movie of 2008 so far!Yeah I don't usually do much of this movie recommending thing...but this one you should really REALLY check out!
