Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005,  PG-13)
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith 5.0 Stars
The best one of the six movies! Kinda sad though that this one wraps them all up. It does a great job bringing the prequels and the others together. It also brings much more mythology to the Star Wars Universe.

My favorite of all Six Episodes! Maybe I like the dark "good guys getting kicked" theme of the movie I don't know. Carbonite freezing, Luke's Father, & my tauntan will freeze before I reach the first marker.

Iron Man (2008,  PG-13)
Iron Man 5.0 Stars
05-04-08 --Absolutely Amazing! Probably the best Marvel Movie to date. They did it all the right way without any crazy notions of "Director's Vision" or marketing campaigns that would change the look and feel of the movie. Of course they updated some things and revised this and that but nothing too drastic. Jon Favreau stuck to the Comic Books as his Source material and that is why this movie will suceed. All the subtle hints were there. Tony's Alcoholism, Rhodey becoming War Machine, Love between him and Pepper, and even the overall theme of Tony Stark's idea that since he's doing it, it must be the right thing to do. I can't wait for 2 more. Oh and if you do see this movie you should stay past the credits. You'll see an extra scene with a Nick Fury played by Samuel L. Jackson. Good Stuff!

Spider-Man 3 (2007,  PG-13)
Spider-Man 3 5.0 Stars
Amazing, Spectacular & Sensational!!! This movie tops 1 & 2 and it ties up the two nicely. Having 3 villains in this movie did not make things "hard to follow". It was done with a fantastic flair! I thought having Gwen Stacey and her father Captain Stacey in this movie was a nice touch. For those that don't follow the comic books Gwen was Peter's 1st love and she was also the person that Green Goblin dangled from the New York Bridge and asked Spidey to make the "decisions that heroes have to make". That is when Gwen Died and Peter pursued MJ (the unattainable girl). In the movies they mixed the two characters into one (MJ) and now bam! there's Gwen Stacey in the mix causing Jealousy and everything. New Goblin wasn't as bad as I imagined. Sandman was done well. Venom was great. I thought they could have worked on a few things that I won't mention due to spoiling the movie. I could have done without the constant "showing of the faces" they did. But that's hollywood and you have to deal with it. In all, I loved this movie and I can't wait for it to come out on DVD so that I can watch it all the time.

Superman (1978,  PG)
Superman 5.0 Stars
Can you believe a man could fly? That was there slogan before it came out in '78. They blew away audiences. Christopher Reeves became a legend and Superman became a recognizable icon in American Pop culture once again. Richard Donner was a spectacular Director and had a great vision of the man of tomorrow. We can only hope Bryan Singer carries on his vision with more Superman Movies.

Transformers (2007,  PG-13)
Transformers 4.5 Stars
10-16-07 --Intense & Satisfying at the same time. Michael Bay was an excellent choice as Director for this Summer Spec-Tac-U-Larrrr! The movie started and zoomed around looping and twisting, explosions were going off and I was constantly at the edge of my seat. I'm glad they used Peter Cullen's voice (original voice actor) for Optimus Prime. That was a huge Fanboy victory even though we lost some small changes. Speaking of the changes or liberties they took with the characters. I won't get into them but I will say that it is possible for Michael Bay to have made it more true to the original characters/mythology without making it feel "out of date". All in all though when I walked out of that theatre I felt satisfied and eager for a sequel. If you would like to message me I will go into detail about the changes they made and what they should have kept and what was understandable reasons for changing what they did. Ahh, the humans... Shia LaBeouf did an excellent job at playing Spike. Ok, they named him Sam but I will refuse to call him Sam... he is Spike. Anthony Anderson was hilarious. The army characters were a little lackluster and felt "added in" for popularity. but it was OK. You need to go see this movie!!! Now on DVD!!!

Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones 5.0 Stars
Bringing in Hayden Christensen was a perfect idea. I don't care if critics think his acting is stale. He's perfect. The plot gets better with the second prequel. Bringing in Jango Fett and creating the clone army was great to see. Also, we see a touch of Anakin's "dark side".

Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983,  PG)
Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi 5.0 Stars
Originally titled "Revenge of the Jedi" Lucas decided against this because it is not in the Jedi moral code to take revenge on anyone or anything. Return of the Jedi. Return of the "my father is a dark lord of the sith" issues. Return of the cute and cuddley Ewoks... well, ok it is there first appearance. The confrontation between father and son is epic in this movie. Luke veers towards the dark side but manages to steer clear and save his father in the meantime. There! we've seen the rise and fall and redemption of Anakin Skywalker. The End?

Super! Everyone was worried about Brandon Routh being able to fill Christopher Reeve's boots. Well, I think he did very well. He was superman. Everyone else was great too. Now the question you ask yourself is... "so, is the boy his or not?". I guess we'll see in the sequel.

I waited forever for the prequels and when they finally arrived I was a bit disappointed at first. Episode I grew on me and I love it. I will say that it is probably the weakest of all 6 but, still very good.

I had my doubts about Tobey McGuire playing Spider-Man before I saw the movie. Afterwards I felt that noone else could have done it but Tobey. I wasn't crazy about the Goblin Mask but Mr. Dafoe did great anyway overshadowing the gay metal/plastic mask.

I didn't like Brad Pitt until I watched this movie. It changed my idea of him I guess. Edward Norton became one of my favorite actors as well. If Colby and I were to have a "movie" this would be it. oh great now I'm shrink wrapped in tears. Your single serving friend signing off.

X-Men: The Last Stand 5.0 Stars
Outstanding! This might be the last in the franchise or it might not be. Excellent use of the new characters. ***Spoiler Alert*** It was hard to see some characters die. It eventually had to happen though... it happened in the comics so therefore it had to happen. Excellent ending to a trilogy. Watch out! Here comes a Wolverine Spinoff!

Everything I expected. I didn't go in with a bunch of expectations and they exceeded them dramatically. The director didn't stray too far from the comic book origin story which was good. Casting was great too. "It's Clobberin' Time!!!"

Most critics didn't like Affleck in the title role. I didn't mind. But, since he was only signed to one movie good luck getting him back. It didn't make enough for him to come back and I think he got a lot of crap for being a super hero. It was a good movie and the directors cut is even better.

Ang Lee did a fantastic job creating the world of Bruce Banner/Hulk. I didn't like the father being so involved... I didn't think his father was "Leader". Maybe I'll have to go read some comics to make sure but I think they changed that part. Very good movie and I think that it was just enough of the "Hulk Smash!!!" people were wanting.
