Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - PG I love Tim Burton, I love Johnny Depp and I love Willie Wonka.... perfect match. August 10, 2008

Pretty Woman - R I know everyone brings it up alot but it isn't that good of a movie... It's an average story with average acting. August 10, 2008

Meet Bill - R This is a pretty average movie and several plot aspects left the audience wanting more closure but overall it isn't a bad film by any stretch. Yet it is always nice when you can see a physical change in a characters life (i.e. weight loss to win a girl) so that's another nice aspect. It's worth watching but certainly won't be up for any awards. August 7, 2008

27 Dresses - PG-13 I like any movie that has characters that remind you of people you know, makes you hate the characters, then finally ends with redemption, all the while still feeling the same attitude towards those characters. Any movie that can make you feel good without changing your motif is worth seeing in my book. I'd recommend this movie to anyone looking for a dry humored chick flick. Basically guys if you have to chose between the lesser of her two evils, choose this one. August 4, 2008

Mad Money - PG-13 Although this movie was nothing special I will admit that I was on edge the whole time. This nerve-racker is enough to make you clinch your fist but isn't anything that you'd want to watch over and over. I will also say that you can pretty much know what to expect from Keaton and Latifah since they play the same role every time but even still this one is worth watching. August 3, 2008

Semi-Pro - R I must say that I am literally embarrassed for Will Ferrell and his choice of playing this role. If you want to see all the minor, not so funny jokes of Anchorman, Talladega Nights and Walk Hard then watch this one. If you want to see a funny movie with actors you can actually respect then keep on looking. I only laughed 3 times in the entire movie, consider yourself warned. August 3, 2008

American Teen - PG-13 As I watched this above average documentary about average teenagers I longed for nothing more then more. It's funny, it's sad, it's nerve-wracking and it's a must see for any documentary fan. I know this doesn't directly relate but if you like "This American Life" then you will like this one. Finding Neverland - PG Peter Pan again yet from a different approach. It's unprecedented, heart warming and imaginative and a must see for any fan of the three. July 22, 2008

Dazed and Confused - R A personal favorite and the ultimate coming of age story. It's funny, it's original, it's true and it's happening. I can watch this movie over and over and I hope you'll watch it too. July 22, 2008

Almost Famous - R One of the funniest and most original screenplays I've ever seen. This movie comes highly recommended. July 22, 2008

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer - R Wonderful plot with an extremely compelling actor (Rickman) who pulls off the character in such a way where you feel attached and disgusted at the same time. I really can't wait to share this movie with more people yet I don't know if mother would be too proud to hear that. July 22, 2008

Mamma Mia! - PG-13 I must first say that I saw this movie alone on a weekday in a theater packed with either groups of girls or couples. That being said I also enjoy ABBA a lot. With both of those out of the way, it's hard for me to accurately describe my feelings about this movie. It's zany, loud, and has three slow motion scenes; AWESOME! The townspeople are hilarious, Pierce Brosnan singing was a treat, it seemed as if they shot every scene on the first take and the music is... ABBA. I will say from a teenage male critic's stand point, there isn't anything special here. Yet from a woman of any age who enjoys musicals, this movie will have you laughing and buying ABBA: Gold in a heartbeat. July 22, 2008

Hellboy II: The Golden Army (Hellboy 2) - PG-13 I will say that without it's predecessor, this movie would have been a little worse. Yet because of the first one there was little need to reestablish the characters any more than this movie did which gave it plenty of opportunities to accept it's "sequelness" and be whatever it wanted to be. I must say that to really enjoy this one you need to see Hellboy and believe me it's worth it. It's like Toro said "This movie is going to be a comedy with amazing characters and captivatingly sweet action sequences.... oh and somewhat of a plot" because that's exactly what this was. If you're looking for an epic hero story then continue the search. If you're looking to laugh throughout a movie and watch amazing cinematography then sign up for this one. I really liked this one and would like to watch it again. July 22, 2008

Hellboy - PG-13 It was nice to see a vividly entertaining adaptation of the wonderful graphic novel. Other than that this movie isn't anything more than it presents meaning that once you leave the theater, there is no desire for a sequel or to watch the animated series. It's still worth seeing if you like sci-fi action with average comedic relief. July 22, 2008

Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed - PG From an unbiased view, I see this movie as a fine approach to science with truly great directing. Not only to the historical ties, the movie clips keep the audience attached but the numerous prestigious interviews allow for education to occur. From a biased point of view, this movie is great. I think that it is great that someone is exposing the fallacies of darwinism and its followers. I suggest this movie for any documentary lover and for anyone who believes in Intelligent Design. Kung Fu Panda - PG This comedy was well presented and kept my quoting "Skadoosh" long after I saw it so if you want to laugh, watch this one. July 20, 2008

Charlie Bartlett - R I went into this flick with higher expectations than I should have had but I must admit it was still good. The characterization is notable and the dynamic characters are enjoyable so overall this was entertaining to watch. There are a few good laughs and the cliche coming-of-age story is still untarnished so if you like this genre, watch this film. July 20, 2008
