I'm Amy West I love and support my country. I believe that at the dawn of a new Presidential Administration, Americans should be praying even more for this country that we all love. Yes, I am a devout beliver in Christianity, I love the Lord and I know that I wouldn't be where I am today without him. I believe that God has a plan for every Christian that will make life as happy and wonderful as possible. I'm only just beginning to see what God has in store for me and I'm too thrilled to speak! My Favorite books in the whole world are the "Twilight" series by Stephenie Meyer they are simply incredible and if you haven't read them yet you have to! And I've recently discovered the awesome series "The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants" They're so cool and random they actually share a pair of pants and it's just so Awesome!!!! My best friend in the whole world is Sophie (love her to death). The highlight of my month is competing for the Home School Varsity team at Knowledge Bowl (ya know that team that keeps winning!) but it's not because we're smarter than normal or anything. It's because our captain lives in Heaven! You heard me, without God as our captain we'd never make it off the ground! So that said Thank you, God, for being the best Knowledge Bowl captain in the history of the world!

This was really great, I loved it, it is sad that is how the prisoners are treated in Thailand and a lot of other third world countries, a really great performance by Claire Danes and Kate Beckinsale.

The Hangover
by Candy Very funny movie about the day after a batchelor party. Four guys go to Vegas for a batchelor party. They wake up the next day to find Mike Tyson's tiger in their hotel room, a baby, a missing tooth, someone got married (not the groom), a hospital wrist band and the groom is missing. They have to try to piece together the night before to find the groom and get to the wedding on time. I love the police car scenes and the poker scenes. This movie is a bit like Dude, Where's My Car and Very Bad Things. Great cast.

Falling for a Dancer
by sloopyA story that's happened thousands of times to many young girls. Credit to the whole cast for bringing it to life. This was pretty good. Elisabeth Dermot Walsh and Liam Cunningham did a great job. Colin Farrell looks so young! His performance wasn't too bad. I won't say who dies but such a sad death and grave scene. Again, wonderful performances from Elisabeth and Liam.
Hey, you should really see this! Especially if you like Colin Farrell although his part is smaller. A lovely Irish romantic drama (1998) that I got from Netflix because you probably can't get it anywhere else.

by KMMA funny romantic comedy about coming to terms with the mess of love, lust and loathing and discovering whether you are the rule or the exception in the "dating pool." A brilliant cast!

Little Children
by MelBit of an odd film, but interesting in terms of the narrative. At first I really liked the characters, and how they all intertwined - the events that linked them etc, but nearer the end I didn't enjoy it very much. And the narrator was really quite irritating! But I think that's personal opinion - it gives you an insight into what the characters are thinking, in a different way - I just sort of prefer it when that's done through the acting.. and the cinematography and that. I would still recommend watching it though as it kept me interested.. Kate Winslet is good.
Hey, this is film is interesting from start to finish - although it didn't quite pull together for me at the end, I would still recommend it as it's a good watch. Not your average throwaway film :)

Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian
by Candy This is a great sequel, it's not often that a sequel is better than the first movie. I think this movie has a better and more involved storyline. Larry (Ben Stiller) has left the museum and become a successful inventor. Meanwhile the museum exhibits have been moved to Washington DC museum archives. Larry has a race against time to rescue them. On the way he meets Amelia (Amy Adams). She's fab. There are new characters, more interesting storyline with a fight against good and evil. The museum really comes to life again. My faves are still there Jed (Owen Wilson) and Teddy (Robin Williams). Even Ricky Gervais is back as the mumbling nonsensal director of the museum.

Angels & Demons
by Candy I love the Dan Brown books and this is my favourite of the books. If you have read the book before going to see the movie, you will be disappointed. It has the fast pace of the storyline but no depth to the story. I didn't think Tom Hanks was the right actor for Robert in the Da Vinci Code but he has grown into the role in Angels and Demons. Robert is invited to the Vatican City to help solve clues to save four kidnapped cardinals, in the wake of the Pope's death and save the city from a bomb planted by the secret society - the Illuminati. Ewan McGregor is the priest to the late Pope and my favourite character. Very dashing even for a priest!

Star Trek
by Candy Warning - spoliers! This movie will introduce Star Trek to a whole new generation. It unites the cast of the Enterprise from a young age. All the favourites are there - Captain Kirk, Spock, Scotty, etc. For once Kirk doesn't get the girl! Sorry to spoil it but it was amusing! It has a great storyline, baddies and special effects. Fabulous! When is the next movie?

Miracle at St. Anna
by sloopyI liked it. War is definitely not colorblind. Excellent performances all around. It was a bit confusing because I thought the 'miracle' was going to be something different. A touching and tragic story that makes you wonder about the countless similar stories that truly happened during that awful time.
